Last week, I had a short break on the Isle of Man. We took the ferry from Heysham, and in both directions the boat did indeed move forward, backward, this way, that way (but I didn't get any rum).

The railway climbs over 2000 feet to the summit of Snaefell - the islands only mountain. At the top of the mountain is the grottiest cafe in the civilised world.
