A first trip to the Solomon Islands. A 3 1/2 day whirlwind tour but I had an absolutely awesome time! These are all straight out of the camera, but I plan to edit my photos so will probably replace these at a later date.
This guy was just going out as we left on our boat trip.
I was on my way to lifeisajourney's place when, ahead of me, I saw this. I grabbed my (everpresent, these days) camera and managed to get off two shots before I was on him (the "islander"). All this was done, I might add, while trying to drive. I'm unsafe.

The first year of our CTV Toy Mountain Drive at Beechgrove was a huge
success. Thanks to our generous tenants, neighbours and friends, we
collected over 100 new unwrapped toys for children in need. Each participant
was given a ballot for chance to win one of three prizes. The grand prize
was two gold hockey tickets for a Maple Leafs vs. Islanders game. The second
prize was a $100 gift card to the Keg and the third prize was a gift basket
valued at $100. All three winners were Beechgrove customers. Long-standing
tenant Bruce Earle, a retired Toronto fire chief, won the coveted Leafs
tickets. He was so surprised and excited when he heard the good news. Bruce
said he had only been to the Rogers Centre on official business in the past
and was going to invite his son to the game.
