Reel Man Month...no, really!
What?! Did you think I'd forget? Did you reely think another year would sneak by without the MENtion of that time of year? The month His Nibs longs for, waits for, drools for? Come on, you know it... you remember right?
Man Month.
He-gads it almost made it with silent arrival. One day, two days crept in, like a warm silent breeze. A whisper, turned whisker.
When the realization set in, it was amidst an eastern family visit and a local family move. Such turmoil, such delight.
My hubby is the Founder/President of Man Month. Well, perhaps I should say it's creation. Faithful flickr followers know the story, know it's rapid expanse and growth in my hubby's eyes.
It is a time we share that makes us both smile. He with delight and me with decamera.
This year we celebrated in style. We are newly implanted Vancouver Islanders. Six months now and growing more and more attached to the west coast like a barnacle to a rock. He is my rock, and I love being the barnacle... but I digress.
This year we celebrated in local style. An 'Islander Reel' for my Islander born guy. ' Islander' manufactures world-class fly and specialty reels. 'Islander' is Island built with a commitment to excellence to ensure precision and quality, so I think they match quite nicely. (oh did I mention a new G-Loomis 9'#5 GLX Stream Dance?)
As for me, I've learned how to deal with Man Month, enjoying the fun and festivities.
And I too shall celebrate it in style, with a new camera to replace my ever so aged and water plunged Canon.
What will it be you ask? Well, I put the call out to my flickr friends.
