A nice old steel neon and bulb sign for the Islander Motel in Los Angeles, the bulbs and the lower neon don't work anymore but the rest of it fires up at night......... a cool old motor court motel on Colorado Blvd.

i kid you not, this was the ice sculpture at my cousin's bar mitzvah (this is an islanders themed sculpture. what were you thinking?). serious entertainment was provided when the barkeep poured the flavored vodka down the shoot and the various relatives lined up to down the booze.

Snow on the island of Alderney is very rare. Aurigny Air Services Islander G-AXWP was grounded by snow in January 1972.
It had a long working life with Aurigny, eventually emigrating to Montserrat, anfd I believe it's still flying there.
