This would have been cute had I aimed the camera correctly!

I've made an enormous bit of fabric (1.50 x 3.50 m) from patched-together scraps of my fabric. I'm sending it off to Denmark today to become a curtain!

Part of a series of images which glorify the mundane acts of everyday life.

Strobist:

Nikon SB900 with diffusion dome up high, camera right, maybe 6 feet from subject. Second strobe, SB800, was shot bare bulb just outside the left side of the frame, about 10 feet behind subject.

Random Fact:' Iron' is Cockney Rhyming slang for poof.

Camera used: Kodak KB10

Film used: Kodak Ultramax 400

One of the first set of test shots taken with my new EF-S, 17-55mm 2.8 lens. Sure is sharper than the kit wide angle zoom. Lighting provided by one 580EX bounced off the ceiling and room light.

A wonderful grandmother still working.

I was home sick from work today, but I found something I could do without leaving the house... make Dany a new skirt! I took a few measurements off her (waist and hips) and drafted a pattern based on two conical sections. The first image in this series is a peek into how I design stuff: I'm an engineer, not a tailor, so there is graph paper and maths :-)

ironing will be tedious

Inside the accessory bag- it holds the extra tips, the stand, a screwdriver and most importantly, burn cream and bandaids! LOL Those suckers get HOT!!!

A great rarity for me - I hardly ever do any ironing*. I bought some large spotted handkerchiefs which crease quite badly.

*My daughter-in-law said that I only did some to provide a different photo for my daily selfie – would I !

A giraffe without its spots.

I also tried on the red with white polka dots panties under my dressing gown while doing the ironing.
