This is not my photo, but it's someone that I know, with one of her 5 cats, photographed by someone else. Pretty kitty!

...........................................................................................................................

P.S.: since many people have been looking at this photo, I thought that I would add some info. This is my sister-in-law. At the start of the year, they had 7 cats, but 2 of them died this year - one on the day that my brother passed away, which was a most strange coincidence. Now she has "only" 5 cats. This one is Chi-chi; she's the oldest. She was acquired as a kitten, feral, lived in a barn on the farm, and, for a long time, was so afraid and anti-social in the house that they thought they'd have to send her back. However, she suddenly "came around" and has been a wonderful pet, and very good with the small children too, which is not that common in cats.

Whether conservative or liberal, gay or straight, white or black, Christian or Jew, an essentialist style of thought errs dangerously to the degree it employs language and imagery as an unyielding strait-jacket, short-circuiting the imagination and nailing me (and everyone “like me”) to a definition, a tautology, an essence, so that the game is up well ahead of time. There can be no change, no room for dialogue, no room for encounter, no room for growth, no room for transformation, no room for freedom, no room for curiosity, no room for spontaneity, no room for discovery, no room for risk, no room for error, and above all, no room for mercy or forgiveness. In short, depending on your essence, you are innocent or guilty, never both. There can be no room for love.

Beginning with a flattened version of a combination of four previous modified images of flags which was then rephotographed as various PANO-Vision segments which were then re-introduced back into the original as Photoshop collage elements.
