Idyllic Breckenridge Channel in the centre of Forster is always packed on Boxing Day with hundreds of holiday makers. Many hire watercraft of varying descriptions from any one of the numerous boat hire sheds in order to take to the water.
In 2022, Boxing Day here around lunch time was less populated with people as few had remained in the water.

The highly rated Tallwoods golf course and Country Club is an established, world-class, 18-hole championship course located in Hallidays Point on the NSW Mid North Coast, 20 minutes' drive north of Forster-Tuncurry, 20 minutes south of Taree and just 3.5 hours' drive north of Sydney.
Tallwoods Golf Course is Australia’s only course designed by the award-winning American golf course designer Dr Michael Hurdzan. The course was designed in the early 1990's with Dr Hurdzan utilising the hilly and undulating topography of the site to create a challenging but scenically attractive course that traverses rugged terrain with severe elevation changes. Several green complexes sit in small amphitheatres, buried in the hillside beneath large modern homes which overlook the fairways and greens.
The course was originally designed in the early 1990's to be centred among rural acreages however with sales sluggish at the time, the owners soon submitted a new application for a golf course surrounded by residential allotments.
The application was granted and today Tallwoods is a vibrant and rapidly expanding residential community having grown to become a village in its own right. The other older nearby villages are Black Head, with its Norfolk Island Pine lined beach front and the rapidly developing Red Head and Diamond Beach precincts.
The vegetation of Tallwoods precinct features a mixture of tall eucalypts such as Tallowwood, Blackbutt, Ironbark, Grey Gum and Mahogany with rainforest elements in the understorey. The rare Eucalyptus rudderi (Rudders Box) is also preserved around the course with many additional plantings of seedlings grown in a local nursery.
Extensive large ponds and water features are scattered throughout the course which make this course both incredibly scenic and at the same time very challenging to play.
While other tourist accommodation is available in Tallwoods, in recent years 15 bungalows have been built on the western side of the course to house golfers visiting the Hallidays Point area.
Hallidays Point Caravan and Camping Park is located directly across the road to the south of the Tallwoods entrance.
Tallwoods Golf and Country Club offers a golf pro shop, restaurant and bunker bar, open to both golfers and the general public.
On May 24, 1874, the first horse-drawn tram rode out in Ghent, between Ghent-South and the Dampoort. 150 years later, the tram has become an indispensable part of the Ghent cityscape. Reason enough to celebrate the trams of the past and present.
Spent a few hours in Thun on our way back from Bern with the plan to change from the train, get some lunch in Thun and see some of the action of the Ironman Switzerland Thun 2024, then get the boat back to our hotel at Spiez.
To my surprise this very fit chap who was from France and had completed the Ironman event and was staying at our hotel. It was exhausting he told us, some 12 hours of hell on earth but he finished. Well done, got his top and medal - a great achievement. This shot was taken at 8:30pm in the evening outside the hotel main entrance.
So great to chat and get a few portrait shots of his achievement .

I'm not sure that this rocky beach actually has a formal name but it lies just beside Terrigal's Skillion Head so I 've named it Skillion Beach.
If anyone knows of another name please comment below.
