On May 31st 2019 the Los Angeles County FIre Department held its 14th annual explorer program awards banquet. Retired Fire Captain John Price was the Master of Ceremonies, the Pleadge of allegiance was performed by Fire Explorer Leila Gascon and National Anthem was performend by Fire Fighter Aaron Katon and Fire Fighter Jason Gates. The invocation was read by Fire Fighter Paramedic Douglas Campbell the welcome address was read by Deputy Chief Anthony C. Marrone. The keynote Speaker was Brendan McDonough. Photo: Rev. Elizabeth Braddon (left) was invited by Legislator Kara Hahn to offer the invocation at this week’s meeting of the Suffolk County Legislature in Riverhead.

 

Fifth District Legislator Kara Hahn this week welcomed Elizabeth Braddon of the Stony Brook Community Church to the Suffolk County Legislature to offer the customary invocation delivered at the beginning of each general session of the governing body. Reverend Braddon was appointed to be pastor of the Church in 2007 and has been an active part of the Stony Brook community.

Councilman Kenyatta Johnson (2nd District) led a presentation congratulating the Philadelphia Eagles for their historic victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII

 

Councilwoman Cindy Bass (8th District) led a presentation honoring Brother Ron Armour, Trapeta Mayson, Keith Schenk, Michelle Kerr Spry, Pastor Alex Velazquez, Jr., and LeQuyen Vu for their significant contributions to advocacy & community service in Northwest Philadelphia.

 

Councilman Kenyatta Johnson led a presentation honoring the 20th Anniversary of Philadelphia International Airport's exhibitions program and recognizing the airport for its dedication to improving the passenger experience.
