Team Canada trains in preparation for the Athletics competition in the York Lions Stadium, Toronto, Ontario on 23 September, 2017. The Team will be competing in the Invictus Games being held in Toronto from 23 - 30 September.

 

The Invictus Games, conceived by Prince Harry, is a weeklong competition involving more than 550 ill, injured and wounded servicemen and women from 17 allied countries. It involves 11 adaptive sports such as power lifting, swimming, and cycling to inspire recovery, support rehabilitation and generate a wider understanding and respect for those who serve their respective countries.

Prince Harry is in Toronto for the Invictus Games. Prince Harry established the Invictus Games in 2014. It is the only international adaptive sporting event for wounded, ill and injured active duty and veteran service members, inspired by the US-based Warrior Games. NATO has provided support for the Ukrainian and Afghan teams.
