Inverted version of one of Neptune's sand pictures at Wittering, West Sussex

There were two lessons learned here:

1. Don't go cheap when purchasing an umbrella.

2. Whether it be wind or gravity...the forces of nature are Simply Irresistible

A page from my "Adult Colouring Book" that I coloured using pencil colours and then inverted the colours in the photograph to get another perspective.

One from a while ago and a lovely inversion in Hope Valley

Taken from the top of a tower block through thick glass. Delighted with the happy accident where the 'sun' in the snow seems to be radiating dark shadows. And that the cyclists were captured at the point where the paths crossed.

Start of a little mini-series of in-camera multiple exposures from my local skateboard park

This photo was taken back in mid October of last year (2023). We had never gone up during sunrise so we thought that would give it a try. Some weather apps showed clouds and some showed clear skies. This presented a problem for us... The drive down is about 3.5 hours away, so do we go or do we not? We decided to go anyway and just kept checking the weather on the drive down. We got nearly halfway down and it looked like complete cloud cover. Darn! We decided to pull over so I can look at the weather apps and we notice that it is all low clouds, no high or medium clouds. This could either be a cloud inversion, or we could just end up clouded out. We get to our camp spot, get some sleep, and then wake up early the next morning, and... we are socked in clouds. A little deflated, we still can see a few stars here and there so we get ready and head up the trail. As we hike, the clouds start to part! It was not until we get to the summit of the hike that we see the clouds below and the high clouds in the distance. It became very clear that we could have a potentially awesome sunrise. We were there with a few other people who came out for the sunrise hike as well, so we had to make our way around them to allow for everyone to get a photo. Eventually, the sun lit up the clouds in the background and the inversion was still there. This was one of the most epic sunrises that I can remember. It was amazing! The photo of this spot was also a little nerve wracking because I was also shooting this on a new camera so I was still learning all of the functions and the basics. Thank goodness it was in focus! At the end of the day, this was a 3 image panorama but was cropped down quite a bit down to 66 megapixels. Enjoy!
