James and Gever figure out how to play music by beating sticks together like they are sword fighting. Bryan tells us that there is a martial art based on this idea.
Penn State York celebrated the launch of Working Class, a makerspace partnership, to a crowd of more than 100 on Aug. 9 on the stage of the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) at Penn State York. The winners of the 2016–17 Start-Up Challenge, a business pitch competition for students, were also recognized during this celebration of entrepreneurship, leadership, partnerships, and innovation. These projects received $50,000 seed grant funding from Invent Penn State, an economic development initiative across the Commonwealth. Penn State President Eric Barron, Penn State York officials and Erin Casey, co-founder and board member of Working Class, took part in the ceremony.

Questa fontana a dieci elementi e tre livelli stupisce e abbaglia non solo con la sua forma magica unica e bella,
ma soprattutto con il messaggio che porta. Grazie alle iscrizioni - citazione volutamente selezionata dalla Bibbia - promuove
un libro misterioso e sorprendente regalatoci da un'altra dimensione (...) Il libro dal titolo "Lascia che l'amore ti travolga"
(Polacco: "Pozwólcie ogarnac się miłości") è stato pubblicato con il permesso della chiesa cattolica in Polonia più di trenta
anni fa. Il libro non è solo la chiave che semplifica la comprensione e la ricerca del regno celeste di cui Gesù ha insegnato, ma è anche un paracadute durante la nostra caduta (!) Anche se il libro stesso è una svolta, non è mai stato adeguatamente riconosciuto e non è mai diventato l'insegnamento della chiesa numero uno.
L'iscrizione che circonda le pareti dall'interno che è stata scritta con un carattere elegante e unico è la citazione del vangelo di Giovanni 4:24 delle parole di Gesù e dice: "Dio è uno Spirito: e quelli che lo adorano devono adorarlo in spirito e in verità."
La vernice utilizzata per la fontana è di un tipo speciale destinato alla verniciatura delle piscine (ruber clorurato).

He did not invent the razor, he was in some old version of Sherlock Holmes. It is a coincidence. Then hid away from the world in a castle in the middle of nowhere. I wish I had gotten photos of the winding mountain roads to get here. But I was busy navigating. The "living room" is bigger than my entire house, and the view is amazing. And a stop at one of the randomest tourist attraction places on the way back. Sorry about the quality inside, but it was very challenging lighting, new phone and I hadn't messed with the settings yet. But I figure I should upload because I won't be back anytime soon.

Este taller celebrado en el Museo de la Ciencia y el Cosmos de Tenerife, estuvo dirigido a grupos familiares con niños y niñas de 4 a 7 años. Un cuentacuentos interactivo en el que se cuenta una versión de la historia de Dédalo y sus inventos. Los participantes pudieron probar qué materiales son mejores para volar, qué papel tiene el aire en el vuelo y cómo podemos utilizar esto para inventar nuestros propios artefactos voladores, que luego probaron en el túnel de viento. Esta actividad forma parte del programa “Mayo Científico” organizado por la Consejería de Economía , Industria, Comercio y Conocimiento del Gobierno de Canarias a través de la Agencia Canaria de Investigación, Innovación y Sociedad de la Información.

Georges Braque

Georges Braque had initially painted highly-coloured Fauves landscapes, but by the summer of 1909 he had reduced his palette to greens, beige and grey. Inspired by the seminal 1907 Paul Cezanne retrospective exhibition following the artist's death, Braque started using an adaptation of Cezanne's directional brushstroke. In this view of the village, castle and surrounding woodland at La Roche Guyon on the River Seine, he renders them as a series of facetted, highly simplified forms which anticipates Cubism.*

After Impressionism: Inventing Modern Art
(March – August 2023)
Explore a period of great upheaval when artists broke with established tradition and laid the foundations for the art of the 20th and the 21st centuries.
The decades between 1880 and the outbreak of the First World War in 1914 were a complex, vibrant period of artistic questioning, searching, risk-taking and innovation.
The exhibition celebrates the achievements of three giants of the era: Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gauguin and follows the influences they had on younger generations of French artists, on their peers and on wider circles of artists across Europe in Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels and Vienna.
With nearly a hundred works by artists ranging from Klimt and Munch, Matisse and Picasso to Mondrian and Kandinsky complemented by a selection of sculpture by artists including Rodin and Camille Claudel, the exhibition follows the creation of a new, modern art, free of convention, taking in Expressionism, Cubism and Abstraction.
