Penn State York celebrated the launch of Working Class, a makerspace partnership, to a crowd of more than 100 on Aug. 9 on the stage of the Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (The Pullo Center) at Penn State York. The winners of the 2016–17 Start-Up Challenge, a business pitch competition for students, were also recognized during this celebration of entrepreneurship, leadership, partnerships, and innovation. These projects received $50,000 seed grant funding from Invent Penn State, an economic development initiative across the Commonwealth. Penn State President Eric Barron, Penn State York officials and Erin Casey, co-founder and board member of Working Class, took part in the ceremony.

La historia de los bailes urbanos está repleta de jóvenes figuras pioneras, virtuosa e innovadoras que han inventado o transformado géneros. ¿Qué puede aprender nuestra ciudad de las comunidades adolescentes que bailan en sus recovecos? ¿Cómo podemos transformar a través del baile una ciudad que, demasiado a menudo, se construye exclusivamente en torno a los hábitos y las necesidades de los adultos?
Deslizar la Ciudad es un proyecto de co-creación, aprendizaje y diseño de programación que involucra a diversos colectivos de baile que operan en Madrid.
El proceso empieza de la mano de SCSC (SanCrisStreetCulture) que abre un diálogo con las distintas escenas juveniles que tiene en común la pasión por el baile, presentes en este barrio ubicado al norte del Distrito de Villaverde.

This is a cool little red light I just made. It uses the end of a mag-light, a red led and a ping pong ball for a diffuser. I am probably going to hook this up to a fume detector so that I can get a cool toxic vapor indicator!
