Feeling dark and introspective lately. It's ok every once in awhile but I am looking forward to a popsicle tomorrow.
THE GET UP KIDS - "The Dark Night Of The Soul"
Never thought anything lasts forever
Hanging on every word
Hold the cards in tight
But your killing me with sincerity
And I'd make any move tonight
Redemption is a bitch
Too end on
The dark night of the soul
The dark night of the soul
All my training beget a traitor
A monster with a mind of it's own
The beast is poised to strike
The bastard plays on these insecurities
Takes all my will to fight
Redemption is a bitch
Too end on
The dark night of the soul
The dark night of the soul
Oh well,You know what they say
Suddenly everything's
Suddenly everything's real
The dark night of the soul
The dark night of the soul
(oh well, You know what they say
Suddenly everything's
Suddenly everything's real)
The dark night of the soul
The dark night of the soul
(The bastard plays on these insecurities
Takes all my will fight)
The dark night of the soul
The dark night of the soul
(Oh well,You know what they say
Suddenly everything's
Suddenly everytihng's real)
The dark night of the soul
The dark night of the soul
Same as Introspective, but with the hue and saturation changed, I liked them both, the color changes the feeling.

CU Assignment: Face Flip - Pure silliness. Take a photo of a face, chop it in half, flip it, and see what you get. Play around with this, it's fun! :-)
To balance out the small world view (perhaps the bankers' view that they are the centre of their universe, this is perhaps the tax payer and general public's view of that capital of capitalism!
My friend Valerie introspectively freaking out in NYC about job, housing, and transportation issues.
The philosophy of the wisest man that ever existed, is mainly derived from the act of introspection.

2019-04-12 HANNAH ADAIR Ariadne in the Water Hi-Lo Press
Please join us Friday April 12, for the opening reception of Ariadne in the Water, MFA thesis exhibition and first solo exhibition for Atlanta artist Hannah Adair.
From the artist: My work is about the tactile, sensual body and abstract inner experience. I choose materials that have a visceral physical presence, including printmaking, papermaking, and sculpture, while the content is personal and introspective. Ariadne, a mythological figure, emerged as a useful conceptual structure to guide the development of this body of work. It addresses the labyrinth of the minotaur, and sailing away from Crete, but the focus of my interpretation is a moment I invented and inserted into the myth. This addition is a break from the classical narrative. Rather than being abandoned by Theseus while asleep on the shore, a moment often portrayed by artists, I imagine that after sailing away from Crete, Ariadne leaps from the ship. Hence, she is in the Water. This break from the mythological narrative creates a space for me to imagine and explore. Ariadne’s descent into the water echoes the trope of a descent into the underworld, as in the myths of Persephone and Inanna. The descent trope evokes inner experience, the unconscious, death, rebirth, and mystery.
Love her "eyeliner". Sadly, that eye is totally cloudy and opaque and might have to come out. At least it doesn't give her any discomfort.
This theme was the most introspective for me. I find a lot of imperfection in things... many times to a fault.
Most days, the only time I get to myself is in the shower. Most of the time I spend it thinking about all the imperfect things in my life. How I don't know what I want to do in my life, how I didn't get any sleep, how messy the house is...it just goes on. I wish I could just stop. Enjoy that time. Think of all the beautiful perfection that surrounds me....and just be present.
That's my greatest imperfection.
Day 48 - March 16, 2007
The way the late afternoon sun was hitting the blinds caught my eye, and I thought it might make a cool shot. Was I right? Tell me about it.

You say I'm introspective? Give me some time to think about that.
