It's been a strange week. I was interviewed by a reporter from the Pioneer Press, for a random article about people who write fiction from coffee shops (which I do). I think the interview went well (we'll see how it comes out in print, tentatively on April 2nd) but I was most nervous about having my photo taken, because I like being on the other side of the camera. Yesterday I met up with the pro photographer at Caffetto. He spent about an hour shooting me from different angles with multiple Nikon D2H cameras. I felt like a huge dork, but I was drooling over them, and snuck just a couple shots when he got up to get coffee.

"Våre representanter" Co-produced exhibition with John Øivind Eggesbø at Stavanger Kunstmuseum. The project is invited in relation to the 200 year celebration of the Norwegian constitution. "Hvem eier historien? Makt, kunst og demokrati" is an institution critical project and we have invited over 80 of the hottest names in the region to participate. Opens thursday march 6th - june 15th.

Gjennom en sammenligning av to ulike størrelser peker dette prosjektet på hvordan to ulike systemer fungerer, et demokratisk og folkevalgt, og et basert på fagkunnskap og faglig vurdering. Prosjektet inviterer publikum til å bestemme hvilket verk museet skal kjøpe inn og innlemme i samlingen sin, ved å stemme på over 80 kunstverk av lokalt tilknyttet kunstnere som ennå ikke har blitt en del av samlingen. Farias im Interview: „Abraham sollte sich besser in Acht nehmen!“
Am 14. Januar (ab 22.45 Uhr live in der ARD) tritt Pablo Oscar Natalio Farias in der Baden-Arena in Offenburg gegen Arthur Abraham (32-3,26 K.o.´s) an. Der 23-jährige Argentinier, der bisher in 20 Profikämpfen 19 Siege erzielte, trainiert derzeit in seiner Heimat mit großem Einsatz für den Fight in Deutschland. Denn er weiß: Gewinnt er gegen Abraham, dann wäre ein WM-Kampf nicht mehr weit. Am 9. Januar wird Farias in Offenburg eintreffen. Vor seiner Abreise aus Argentinien stellte er sich zum Interview.
Herr Farias, am 14. Januar boxen Sie zum ersten Mal in Deutschland. Es ist Ihr erster Profifight, den Sie außerhalb Ihrer Heimat bestreiten. Freuen Sie sich darauf?
Pablo Oscar Natalio Farias: Als Mitglied der Amateur-Nationalmannschaft habe ich früher häufiger im Ausland geboxt. Aber nach Deutschland fliege ich in der Tat zum ersten Mal. Die Deutschen werden in Argentinien sehr bewundert. Und es gibt inzwischen viele Menschen aus Deutschland, die in Argentinien leben.
In Ihrem letzten Kampf gegen Jose Alberto Clavero wurden Sie in der fünften Runde disqualifiziert. Das war die bislang einzige Niederlage Ihrer Profilaufbahn. Was geschah damals?
Pablo Oscar Natalio Farias: Clavero hat einen angeblichen Regelverstoß von mir ausgenutzt und nicht mehr weitergeboxt. Ich wurde daraufhin disqualifiziert. Ich denke, wir werden uns noch einmal treffen, aber dann landet er wirklich so richtig auf dem Ringboden.
Es hört sich so an, als hätten Sie ein bisschen Wut im Bauch…
Pablo Oscar Natalio Farias: So kann man das nicht sagen. Ich trainiere einfach härter als jemals zuvor.
Was können Sie über Arthur Abraham sagen? Wie schätzen Sie ihn ein?
Pablo Oscar Natalio Farias: Er ist ein Gladiator. Er ist ein Weltklasse-Mann. Aber gegen mich wird es nicht einfach, er sollte besser aufpassen.
Wie haben Sie sich auf den Kampf gegen Abraham vorbereitet?
Pablo Oscar Natalio Farias: Ich habe mich beim Racing Club, in der Sportanlage des Fußballteams aus Avellaneda, vorbereitet. Ich habe dreimal täglich trainiert. Denn der Kampf gegen Abraham ist die Chance, von der ich mein Leben lang geträumt habe. Ich werde in Offenburg mit Leib und Seele kämpfen.
Wie sehen Sie Ihre Chancen, gegen Abraham zu siegen?
Pablo Oscar Natalio Farias: Ich werde gewinnen! An eine Niederlage denke ich gar nicht erst. Wenn das so wäre, würde ich nicht gegen Arthur Abraham boxen. Ich sage es gerne noch einmal: Abraham sollte sich besser in Acht nehmen!
Bei einem Sieg wären Sie in den Weltranglisten ganz oben mit dabei. Wäre bei einem Erfolg gegen Abraham ein WM-Kampf möglich?
Pablo Oscar Natalio Farias: Das ist jedenfalls mein Ziel. Deshalb bin ich für die Gelegenheit, gegen Abraham zu kämpfen, auch sehr dankbar. Ich erwarte, dass die Zuschauer zwei echte Krieger im Ring erleben werden.
The Clermont County Park District is partnering with the Clermont County Office of Environmental Quality and the Clermont Soil and Water Conservation District to offer a special program. As part of the Great Outdoor Weekend on Saturday September 25th, 2010 all three agencies will be offering an "East Fork Canoe Adventure" and a "Stream Splash". Participants will get the opportunity to canoe a scenic stretch of the East Fork of the Little Miami River and end their trip at Sycamore Park.
