As violence in Syria continues hundreds of families cross the border to Dohuk in Northern Iraq to seek refuge. There are two crossing points one of them involves crossing a river and the other over land. At both points families have to cross on foot carrying with them all the belongings they want for their lives in Iraq as refugees.
UNICEF is working with local authorities to provide some shelter, water and toilets for the refugees as they prepare for an uncertain future in a new country

FLIP is founded upon a partnership between the City of Fontana Police Department, Fontana School Police, and Fontana Unified School District. FLIP is a 16-week leadership program that provides "at-risk" students ages 12-17 with services, resources and training to ensure they stay in school and out of trouble.
