Something weird happened.
I came into the dining room to find that the table was laid out with food.
There was absolutely everything I liked. Everything I liked in normal food.
There was a big bowl of EggFriedRice, PrawnCrackers, SpicyChickenMeatballs, SweetAndSourPork, TeriyakiVegetables and a few others I could not really tell you its English names.
There was even a bucket of ice-cream, coffee and bourbon for afters.
All bought for me.
In a last ditch attempt to make me eat something, my Ex and another friend of mine made the effort of putting me in a situation where my conscience would come into conflict with my problem.
Guess what I did?
I didn't touch the food.
They were disappointed.
And so was I. For the life of me I could not understand why they did that. I knew it was because they cared. But I was disappointed that they assumed that my ills could be solved by simply giving me food.
I was also disappointed because I made my Ex so sad. I know she feels helpless when it come to dealing with my issues and I do wish sometimes that she leaves me alone. She even stocks her own fridge with my once-favourite foods should I one day come over to hers feeling hungry.
I feel quite bad. It has only hit me what I am actually doing to her. I actually saw her disappointment when I yelled a 'no' to her face.
Whats more, she has done everything she could possibly do to get me out and socialise. And I always say no to her.
In the course of the inevitable arguement that followed, she pointed out that I look horrible with a skinny body and that hugging me is like hugging a bird. To prove a point, she asked me if I have anything to eat in the house. She knew that I had nothing in the fridge.
There is a part of me that wants to be better folks. There really is. But the part of me that doesn't want to bother is even bigger. The occassions when I am chipper is quite rare. Even my renewed enthusiasm for make-up and being 'all girly' again seemed to have waned with each time I pass by my hall mirrors.
A few weeks ago, I enquired about seeking therapy. Perhaps even book myself in some sort of place where I can address all my issues. Maybe even see a therapist once in a while. The thing is, those options involves me meeting people and pouring my heart out. Something I am not comfortable with. I am only just now begining to get used to the people I work with and I am really not ready to immerse myself with relations with the NormalFolk.
There is a part of me that wants to be utterly normal. To have the things everybody has and wants. I wish I could walk down the street with full confidence and without a care in the world instead of the twilight walks for crackerbread and back-alley routes to supermarkets.
But there is also a part of me that is so comfortable with the lifestyle I lead. The same part of me thats proud of the issues I developed since I was a child. I am really not prepared for some NormalFolkPsych to destroy it.
It would be so easy to adopt the obvious solution. Get out there, eat more, give in to life and be happy. But I can't. However hard I try, the image in the mirror is the culmination of years of self and inflicted abuse.
I don't really know what to do as I sit here and type this out. In a way these words help me as I can at least vocalise my inner conflicts to a machine. A machine thats connected with the scant few who understand whats going on with me.
But today was an eye-opener.
My Ex's face said it all.
Went to the grampians with paul, and saw some bushfires on the way back, which made for some sexy rays of sun, and orange clouds!

Six people suspected of being part of an organised crime group involved in a large-scale drugs supply and money laundering conspiracy have been arrested.

This morning (Thursday 29 February) specialist detectives from GMP Serious Organised Crime Group and Economic Crime Unit, supported by district resources and colleagues from neighbouring forces, executed thirteen simultaneous warrants at properties and residences across Bury, Bolton, Salford, and Rossendale.
Three women aged between 35 to 40, and three men aged between 38 to 41, have been arrested on suspicion of money laundering. They remain in police custody for questioning.
A 38-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis.
At a house in Bury, police seized around £10,000 cash, luxury jewellery, and two air rifles. Several more high value items including jewellery and clothes have been seized from across the properties raided today.
This operation is the latest in a series of interventions by GMP specialist Economic Crime Unit, who over the last financial year, have forfeitted almost £14 million cash and criminal assets.
Detective Inspector Sarah Langley from GMP Economic Crime Unit said: “People are becoming increasingly creative in how they launder money made from illicit enterprises, and that’s why we have teams of specialist detectives whose job it is to stay one step ahead of them.
“This morning we’ve recovered significant amounts of money and discovered items that we believe has been acquired through the proceeds of crime.
“Money laundering costs the UK economy and taxpayers billions of pounds, with the illicit finance often being used to fund other forms of serious organised crime.
"Our team will continue to target those suspected to be involved, and we will seize their criminal assets and cash so that they can be reinvested into the communities of Greater Manchester who deserve it.”

Hikma Mesfin, 25-years-old, received her job as a Water Attendant from the local utility office when this water tap was completed four months ago. Her job is to open the point each morning, collect ETB 25 cents (US$.01) per jerry can from the users throughout the day, manage the site and close up each evening.
“It was difficult when [the water point] first opened, because people thought it was like the old water pumps, thinking the water could stop flowing at any time and fighting each other to be first in line. Now they understand it flows every day and they can be at ease. Everyone will get their water.”

Burtonwood & Holmes - “I Support the War / The War Supports Me (ISTW/TWSM)”
For this show, B&H have split their exhibition space in half, the first featuring a new installation, (Zeitgeist) MMIII - MMVIII, that draws on contributions from over twenty Chicago artists. In a return to heroic-scale painting B+H have painted directly on the walls of the gallery images of rubble, ruins and a helicopter gunship. Then invited the artists to hang their own works on top of these painted areas. The images of warfare and violence provide a lens through which we can re-interpret the art works displayed as products of a nation at war. In the second half, B&H have wall-papered the gallery with their trade mark junk mail and placed smaller sculptural interventions around the space, these objects are also covered in sales flyers and disappear into the background.
Alain Douglas Park - “Pedestal”
Park is best known for his large-scale literary inspired paper maché work that addresses the origins of meaning and the worth/futility of expression. The pieces are influenced by history, literature, science, and ideas of collecting and display. For this exhibition, Park continues this drive and adds large scale drawings and murals of overlaid images. Extinct animal skeletons, statues from antiquity, WWI relics, the kings and queens of France, are all coupled with more personal imagery of the artist’s family, and together, they form a vanguard of the human experience, exposing and celebrating the whole breadth of our endeavors.
