August 2016 CreativeMornings/Raleigh event (global theme: Weird) with guest speaker Tarish Pipkins.

Tarish Pipkins a.k.a. Jeghetto, is a self-taught artist and has been creating art from a very young age. In the late 90s Tarish joined the BridgeSpotters Collective and became known for his live paintings and poetry.

He moved to North Carolina in 2005 where he launched his career in puppetry. There he fine-tuned his skills by doing street performances with his puppets. In 2008 he started working with Paperhand Puppet Intervention. He has built puppets and performed in several Paperhand productions.

Tarish is now a teacher at Just Right Academy, a private alternative school for children with special needs. Tarish is married and a proud father of five children. Jeghetto’s passion is promoting Oneness through the magic of puppetry.

Special thanks to our host CAM Raleigh and sponsors CompostNow, Remedy, for video production, Counter Culture Coffee, who generously provided us with complimentary coffee, and Neomonde Mediterranean, who provided the tasty breakfast snacks.

Went to the grampians with paul, and saw some bushfires on the way back, which made for some sexy rays of sun, and orange clouds!

All of these professionals have the information and skills necessary to assist your loved one to the road to recovery. Her daily tasks became much easier four months ago after a water tap was installed on their land, enabling them to take water whenever they need. In the past, she had to carefully measure out water from jerry cans which she filled daily at a water point 3 kilometres away. Eggs Collective are an eclectic bunch of Manchester-based female performers, working together to create shows, workshops, public interventions and whatever else takes our creative fancy.

Since forming in the basement of a bar back in Easter 2009, we have marched 100 people through the streets of Manchester dressed as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz; played Guess Who dating in traditional theatre spaces and facilitated a Saturday night mass Conga aided only by glo-sticks and kazoos.

We have performed one-act plays at festivals nationwide, presented spoken word accompanied by classical cello and danced our way through self-composed tracks. Our alter-egos include a 6-foot dog, an opera singing bearded lady and a snail who’s a fan of Edith Piaf. What more do you need to know?

We believe in creating egg-citing and challenging new work, conceived and developed by the women involved. Eggs are committed to providing a meaningful creative platform to women of all ages and art forms, and we believe that the magic of our collective lies in the variety and diversity of the individuals involved.

As Eggs, we make collaborative work that showcases a powerhouse of talent; work that is fun, energetic and always original, never poached (we also like puns).

Our relationship with Contact has been invaluable to the development of Eggs Collective.

Our Key Partner Company status has given an immeasurable boost to our growth in a million and one ways. We can’t wait to get cracking on the rest of our journey, and we really, really hope that you will come along for the ride…

Our July photo takes us to the heart of Colombia, where the Watermasters are on a mission at Lake Fúquene. Once a thriving ecosystem, this lake has been grappling with pollution, eutrophication, and sedimentation. But, with the CAR Cundinamarca’s intervention using the Watermaster amphibious multipurpose dredgers to remove nutrient pollution and excess vegetation, the tide is beginning to turn. This vital work will help ensure the future biodiversity and health of this beautiful lake.

Resonating MIT is the culmination of a semester-long interdisciplinary collaboration that deploys sonic interventions to amplify unexplored spatial atmospheres on MIT’s historic campus. A series of performances, installations, and a mobile-ready website provided gateways to critical spatial inquiries using sound from the past, present, and the speculative future of the Institute. It will featured new works produced by MIT students from the Spring 2014 class 4.373 Sound Installations and Sonic Interventions and the works of CAST visiting artists Stephen Vitiello and Robin Rimbaud, aka Scanner, as well as compositions by students from the class 21M.351 Music Composition performed by the avant-garde visiting artist ensemble Either/Or.

The class 4.373 Sound Installations and Sonic Interventions was taught by Professor Gediminas Urbonas and Teaching Assistant Ann Lui with Media Associate Madeleine Gallagher and Fabrication Associate Seth Avecilla in collaboration with Prof. Keeril Makan and ACT Fellow Neil Leonard.
