Intermediate Showmanship winners in the Youth Swine Show at the Alabama National Fair Oct. 15 in Montgomery were Rose Hodnett of Tallapoosas County, first place; Cristen Haynes of Talladega County, second; MaKenna Martin of Tallapoosa County, third; Colton Simpson of DeKalb County, fourth; and Sara Kata Stitcher of Randolph County, fifth. Intermediate showmen range from 13 to 15 years of age, and a judge selects winners based on the exhibitors’ showing abilities. Alabama Farmers Federation and Alfa Insurance sponsored youth livestock events at the fair.
