Sporty and cheerful. Those were the two key words in the Schedule of Requirementsthat was prepared for the construction of public elementary school in Wolvega. "Sporty, because sport and exercise at this school much attention.Pleasant with a childlike size, because it had to be an accessible building. "
The tour of the new school not only shows how much the school has succeeded in herdesires and ambitions. It also shows how the users are happy with the building. The director, teachers, the people of the BSO: everyone is smiling andenthusiastic.
The layout of the building is smart. There are still groups of two classrooms and an outdoor area with large double doors that are easy to be learned. Between every two classrooms, a toilet with a window on the sink. Between every two premises a largecupboard, which can be opened from both sides. And between every two classroomsalso a double door so a teacher, if necessary, in both classrooms supervision.
The sun falls through the beautiful stained glass windows and shows the school at its finest. From the stairs / annex gallery look out over the large central hall with a sliding door can be extended with a playroom. "The intention is that this space in future also be used by others," says Marjan. "For example, for activities of the neighborhood."

De rondgang door de nieuwe school toont niet alleen hoezeer de school erin is geslaagd haar wensen en ambities te verwezenlijken. Het laat ook zien hoe blij de gebruikers zijn met het gebouw. De directeur, de bestuurder, docenten, de mensen van de BSO: iedereen lacht en is enthousiast.
De indeling van het gebouw is slim. Er zijn steeds groepen van twee lokalen en een buitenruimte die er dankzij grote dubbele deuren eenvoudig bij kan worden getrokken. Tussen iedere twee lokalen is een toiletgroep met een venster op de wastafel. Tussen iedere twee lokalen een grote voorraadkast die van beide kanten kan worden geopend. En tussen iedere twee lokalen eveneens een dubbele deur zodat een docent zo nodig in beide lokalen toezicht kan houden.
De zon valt prachtig door de gekleurde ramen en toont de school op z’n fraaist. Vanaf de trap/annex tribune kijk je uit over de grote centrale hal die dankzij een schuifwand kan worden uitgebreid met een speellokaal. “De bedoeling is dat deze ruimte in de toekomst ook door anderen kan worden gebruikt, “ vertelt Marjan. “Bijvoorbeeld voor activiteiten van de buurt.”
4 feet Buddha Statue
This statue is carefully handmade of best-quality off-white sandstone, rendering it extremely durable and long-lasting. The carvings done on the statue are completely defined and clear.
The Buddha is in the bhumisparsa mudra, or ground-touching position, seated on a lotus base. His right hand is on his knee, on its way to touching the soil in the earth touching mudra, in which the Buddha requested Gaya, mother earth, to witness his enlightenment. The Buddha is seated in padmasana, often known as the complete lotus pose. This is the deep meditation leg posture. He has a lovely face set in intense concentration. His lengthy earlobes frame his looks well. One of his shoulders is covered by his winter robe.
