Orange Beach House MOC is a comfortable hide-away by the sea. It's a split-level house built directly on the beach. The idea of sandy cliffs and ground terrace with a small pool came to me first and then the rest of the house emerged along the way.

Downstairs you find a livingroom, bedroom and bathroom. Upstairs you find a calm room with sea view, kitchen and study. Fully interiored.

The building technique used to create the beach was new to me, but I think it turned out well. I used lots of curved slopes...

The building process is further described on my Instagram page (@betweenbrickwalls). Link in bio.

There used to be wooden sliding doors on the closet, but it's much easier to access it all with the curtains.

My sister Deanne Coles-Christensen is a gifted decorator. I helped her shoot these photos of her incredible home in Santa Fe that she’s sadly leaving after ten years. She's moving to Salt Lake City this week.

Deanne’s philosophy as an interior designer is to use her clients’ existing objects — those items with personal history and meaning — rather than purchase a bunch of new stuff. If you could use some of this beauty in your life, hire her. She’s now available for consultations and no job is too big or small.

ShadeAlong with the renovation of Shadeh Nightclub's main floor, I-5 also added a new VIP area.

This is another area that was greatly downsized. I am constantly going through our clothes and donating what is not worn. I try to go for quality over quantity.
