Title:- Motorbike HID Lights Autocom Intercoms Metal Mule Panniers from www.motorbikeadventures.co.uk
Description:- Motorbike Adventures supply and fit motorcycle HID lights, motorbike intercom systems from Autocom and TecStar, motorbike adventure panniers from metal mule to customers around the UK. We have a workshop based in Bedfordshire just off the A421 Junction 13 of the M1. We also operate a mobile service where we come to you! We charge £0.45p per mile to fit at your location which can be home or work! We often need a power source and cover to do this!
HID LIGHTS:- Fitting HID lights to you motorbike or car greatly increases your visibility during the day as much as it allows you to see better at night. HID lights for motorcycles draw less power than your original bulbs so for example a 55 Watt HID light replacing the standard 55 Watt filament bulb with only draw 35 Watts from your alternator making you alternator work less. On top of this Motorbike HID lights are 300% brighter than normal lights. Here at www.motorbikeadventures.co.uk we use 6000 Kelvin bulbs with an array of fitments including but not limited to:- H1, H3, H7, and H11.
Motorcycle HID lights come in two parts the bulb and the ballast with starter. The bulbs are easy to fit and we have yet to find a bike that we have not been able to fit the kits too! The normal lighting systems of motorbikes is shockingly poor and HID lights add a considerable visual presence to your bike! We have found that HID’s it greatly reduce car drivers pulling out on you on those all too often lane changes where they appear not to have even noticed your there! Bulbs last longer as there is no filament to break and changing both Dip beam and Main is recommended as the HID’s are so good it tends to render your normal Main beam useless! Installation time for a main and dip beam is 1 and half hours approx!
INTERCOMS:- Autocom Intercoms for motorbikes are a great way of communicating and listening to information you need on the move without taking your hands from the handlebars! Our intercom systems allow you to automatically answer your phone, listen to directions from your Garmin Zumo GPS and play your favourite album from your music collection with the need to take your hands from the handlebars. If you carry a pillion the system allows for you to have two way communications with your pillion and for your pillion to have automatic selection and use of their own mobile phone and music!
Best fitted by a professional this system can give you many years of great riding and once you have used one we don’t believe your ever look back. We find most people have problems when inexperienced people try to fit systems like this without the knowledge and experience to know how to set the system up and what elements to use together. Wired intercom system can currently perform multiple task simultaneously which cannot be said for Bluetooth units. In addition to multi tasking the autocom units do not need recharging as they work direct from the motorbikes electrical system and are free from the need to carry fragile charging units. A correctly setup Autocom system will allow the rider to use the system as well off road as on road. The Autocom systems we supply and fit have been used on expeditions round the globe. Often power is not available in remote places and often when power is available people for get to charge their headsets or have other items needing charging so forget the intercom system.
PANNIERS:-We do claim to be experts when it comes to HID Lights, Autocom systems and kitting out a motorbike for local or world travel. Panniers are one of the most important items to consider when considering what panniers to buy. We understand most people have a budget, and need to make their resources’ last however many expensive mistakes have been made because the wrong pannier system has been selected and then a new system had to be purchased and if the this has cost the extra money that would have been used to buy a decent pannier system in the first place. Metal Mule panniers have been tested round the globe, not just by ourselves but by many professional originations. Strength, waterproof, durability and design our key to great pannier system.
Metal Mule panniers offer the best in the areas we have mentioned and more. Whilst other pannier systems leak, pressurise when going over altitude, fold up on small impacts and fall to pieces with continued use our pannier keep on going. It’s an interesting concept that serious travels and expeditions companies use Metal Mules for their own bikes! This is for one reason only! Because they work well in all conditions and in all weathers.

NEBPT Historic Vehicle Rally 2014
This year's rally, organised by the North East Bus Preservation Trust, was blessed with bright cloudy weather with occasional sunny moments. Just right for photographs.
Classic cars, vans, trucks, fire engines, and of course buses were on show, with free bus rides on offer throughout the day. There was a kid's fun area with rides and a bouncy castle. The starving hordes were satisfied by burgers, chips, candy floss and ice cream on sale.
Vehicle Details
GR 4900 1935 Armstrong Siddeley 17HP with a Burlington Body. Note the speaking tube just behind the driver. The well to do passengers would ride with the heavy glass partition shut for privacy, but instruct the chauffeur by means of this primitive intercom.

I got a nice little visit from someone today.
I hear a knocking at the door at about 3:00 pm today.
I wasn't expecting any visitors today. Hmmm, odd. I
open the door. There are four men standing on the
kitchen porch of my apartment.
Man with clipboard:"Hi. We're from Chicago building
inspection. Did you recently have an intercom
installed here?"
Me: "yes."
Man with clipboard:"By this man?" Guy with a baseball
hat looks at me.
Me: "I don't know. I didn't see them when they put it
in."
Big fat well dressed man: "May we come in?"
Me: "Sure."
In they all come and they look at the new intercom for
a second. Then sort of shuffle and mumble. The fat guy
looks at my microwave and says "What is that?"
They all stare at the object.
This is the object.
[link to pic above]
Pretty fake looking, eh?
This is what's left of my Halloween costume from last
year. I have stuff like this all over my apartment. I
craft, ok? It's halloween time after all. If they had
looked in my fridge they would have found a severed
arm. There is a severed head in the freezer. But I
digress.
"Ok, we're not really building inspectors." Out come
the guns.
Great. And what am I wearing? Unshowered and sporting
my grey zip-up hoodie - Unabomber style.
Naturally I ask for ID. This is the first thing that
pops into my head. Not "It's not a bomb", not "What's
going on here" but "Do you have ID." I see badges. Ok.
This is for real.
Long story short they explain that they are the FBI
Joint Terrorism Task Force and tell me that they guy
who reported me was Baseball hat guy! This is the same
guy who, incidentally, stole my ladder! This
idiot was left alone in my kitchen for five
hours - at any time he could have examined this toy and
seen that it was nothing, but no - HE calls the FB
fricking I.
They start asking questions; who I am, how long I
lived here, where I work. I explain it's simply a
costume, I never wore it out in public, only a gag
made of broom handles and dvd boxes. They start taking
pictures, all very friendly now. I'm still farking
FREAKED OUT but we're laughing and I'm showing them
the blinking light on it and explaining that they can
actually TAKE the stupid thing if they want to. I tell
them to please explain to my new landlord that I am
NOT in fact a terrorist and that I really want to
cooperate because I don't want anymore "surprise"
visits and is there anything I can do to follow up.
That sort of thing.
I put the "bomb" in a paper pag and they went on their
merry way.
Whew.
So how's your day going?

Product Description
Intercom. Kit-L1 Duo with 12v and colied. Comes with:- Main Unit, TWO headsets, Two Coiled extension leads, 12v bike wireing loom, short audio lead and short phone lead.
Whether you just want a simple portable rider phone and/or stereo music system, or just a rider bike-to-bike system, or perhaps a GPS and/or rider to passenger, this innovative new design can do it all, on any bike, at any speed, guaranteed, with or without earplugs, just how and when you want it. The new expandable logical mixing and control design sets new standards and again leads the way for others to follow, making it the logical choice for all your expandable rider audio communication needs.
The Autocom Kit L-1 comes with 6 Aux connections as standard for your choice of GPS, phones and stereo music plus bike-to-bike. You can even add an optional single or twin, plug-in stereo Bluetooth wireless module, all providing seamless connectivity for up to 6 or more devices. You can add an optional passenger headset at any time and/or a choice of bike fitting kits that makes it easy and neat to fit and power under the bikes seat, in a pocket or even tank bag etc. No other brand offers so much flexibility, performance or choice at any price.
••Unique Features
• Ultra high quality, plug-in, noise cancelling boom microphone included with Autocoms noise cancelling headset • Does an incredible job of picking up your speech while rejecting the maximum amount of undesirable ambient helmet noise. The precision tuned ports at both front and rear of the ultra compact microphone/s, ensure that the surrounding noise effects the diaphragm equally from both sides and effectively cancels itself out (anti-phasing), whereas the users speech is directed mainly into just the one side, producing a superior speech signal in relation to a minimal noise pick up, and this design works far better than any other type of microphone used in a noisy environment.
• Independent tuned active noise reduction filters with speech boost Tuned active filter system • Work together with the noise cancelling microphones to ensure even less noise is amplified through the system or speakers (typically rejecting 99% noise at 70mph and 95% at 100mph), while also boosting speech for optimum high speed clarity and use up to 180mph.
• Voice activation (VOX) • Reliably turns the microphone/s 100% off while not speaking to ensure that ZERO noise is amplified through the speakers. This not only reduces riding fatigue but also means that all other audio such as bike-to-bike, GPS, phone and stereo music etc are completely free from any additional amplified noise.
• Logical, mixing and control with up to 6 Aux connections • For; bike-to-bike, stereo GPS, stereo phone, stereo music, etc. 4 Aux connections plus optional wireless Bluetooth interfaces (for a total of 6) and a range of optional leads, lets you customise your system to suit your needs, as and when you want. For more information please see the section below "Intelligent Audio, Wireless & Power Control".
• Optional single internal stereo Bluetooth wireless interface • For wireless stereo phone/GPS/music connections.
• Side-tone • Gives you the benefit of letting you hear your own voice clearly which helps you to naturally speak at the correct level according to varying helmet noise conditions, and this avoids unnecessary shouting that non-side-tone products normally suffer. Side-tone also provides you with important audio confirmation of correct VOX set-up and use, which improves rider to passenger communications as well as hands free voice activated bike-to-bike radio use. What you hear you know they will be hearing. Without side tone you simply cannot know this.
• Full duplex • Allows both rider and passenger to speak naturally and freely and at the same time, either to each other or while on the phone. With full duplex there is no need to wait for a break, or "over!" Important local information can be communicated instantly and effortlessly at all times, e.g., "watch out for that truck" etc., even while using any other inputs. Important rider-to- passenger communications are never interrupted or lost while using any other features.
• Independent rider and passenger master volume controls • Lets you manage the sound levels independently to each headset, making it ideal for use with or without earplugs or any combination. Each control is colour coded for easy identification at a glance.
• Independent high quality stereo amplifiers • Provides high quality stereo reproduction to each stereo headset.
• High power, super slim, stereo speakers • Ergonomically designed for maximum comfort, high quality speakers deliver all the sound you need for use with or without earplugs.
• High quality, robust, water resistant headset lead and connectors • Designed to quick release in an emergency, with large orientation markings to ease alignment, even with gloves on.
• 12 months manufacturers warranty • With options to extend the manufacturers warranty to two or three years, for a small addition cost when you register your new product details directly to the UK factory using the reply form on the back of the instruction manuals or via email within 14 days of the original purchase date.
*Some phones may require a personal hands free adaptor.
Intelligent Audio, Wireless & Powe
• Aux 1 - Intelligent Audio Input - designed for Bike-to-Bike •
Both rider and passenger can use an optional bike-to-bike radio connected to the hub, activated via the I-VOX system, providing easy and safe hands free use without losing the rider to passenger communications or any other functions. If you bike power your hub you can also bike power recommended bike-to-bike radios. Take advantage of the optional handlebar remote control to disable the VOX transmit mode providing privacy for rider-to-passenger communications, and then transmit bike-to-bike messages at any time by either pressing the press-to-talk (PTT) button, or toggle back to the normal VOX transmit mode. When the phone is in use and disables the VOX transmit function, the remote control PTT button lets you over-ride this so that you can transmit to other bikes even when on the phone. Incoming bike to bike audio on Aux 1 on either hub automatically reduces the stereo music level on both hubs Aux 4 to 50% to improve speech clarity.
• Aux 2 - Intelligent Audio Input - designed for Stereo GPS •
A GPS can be connected to the hub using an optional interface lead to suit, or if your GPS unit transmits Bluetooth, by using the optional integral stereo Bluetooth wireless interface. Incoming GPS audio on Aux 2 automatically reduces the stereo music on Aux 4 by 50% for improved GPS clarity. Note; you can use some phones via some GPS units, but in most cases you lose the important GPS audio and safety camera warnings while using the phone through a GPS. This is why we provide separate GPS stereo connectivity and separate phone connectivity to manage this better for you.
• Aux 3 - Intelligent Audio Input - designed for Stereo Phone •
Phones can be connected to the hub using the standard lead* supplied, or via the optional stereo Bluetooth interfaces, without losing the rider-to-passenger communications. You can use some phones via some GPS units but see the note in Aux 2 above. Incoming phone audio on Aux 3 automatically reduces the stereo music on Aux 4 by 100% and bike to bike/GPS audio by 50% to improve phone conversation. The VOX transmit mode for bike-to-bike is disabled so that your phone conversations are not broadcast out to other bikes.
• Aux 4 - Intelligent Audio Input - designed for Stereo Music •
Rider and passenger speech automatically reduce the stereo music on Aux 4 to 50%. It doesn’t cut completely just in case you like to sing along. Audio from Aux 1 and 2 also reduces the stereo music by 50%to improve audio quality, while incoming audio on Aux 3 fully cuts the stereo music for improved phone conversations.
• Aux 5 and 6 - Optional Single or Twin Stereo Bluetooth Module/s •
Each of the stereo Bluetooth modules lets you connect wirelessly to one or two Bluetooth devices, so long as one is using hands free profile (such as a mobile phone or GPS, etc) and the other uses advanced audio profile (A2DP, such as stereo devices, mp3 players, etc). The twin Bluetooth module lets you connect to between 1 and 4 Bluetooth devices. These internal modules simply plug inside the hub and pairing is easy and reliable, and once done automatic each time you use the system. Incoming audio on Aux 5/6 can be set to have the same effects as incoming audio would on Aux 2 or 3.
• Intelligent Power Control •
Perfectly designed for portable battery use using 3 AA batteries (not included) or optionally bike powered for mile after mile of fuss free use. Either way you simply get on, plug-in and ride. The system automatically turns on and off via the headsets (when used portable) or via the bikes ignition (when bike powered). Built-in noise suppression helps to prevent any electrical noise from the bike entering the system. Thermal overload and reverse polarity protection help to protect your investment and let you enjoy a trouble free long life experience.
• Intelligent VOX with Ultra High Quality Rider and Passenger Headsets •
When either person speaks, the VOX system automatically turns on the microphones, reduces the stereo music, and transmits the bike-to-bike radio, for safer hands free use. When you stop speaking the microphone automatically turns off and the music gently glides back to its normal level. High quality, robust, water resistant, connectors and leads are custom designed for easy, safe and comfortable use and quick release in an emergency. Built to last but also easy to service or replace. Optional neat on-bike rubber socket holders with water resistant dust caps provide that professional finishing touch.
*some phones may require a headset adaptor to suit the standard phone lead 2.5mm plug (available from Autocom and most phone shops)
For most of the time your Autocom Kit L-1 is going to be perfect used as a portable, but for those longer trips, why not bike power it!
