Some rooms (I believe here, the music room, and the bench room) had these large intercom speakers in pairs, for stereo sound; one of each pair was the master, having tone, function and call/answer controls. The smaller single intercom panels, which could still play music and call/answer, were in all four bedrooms, the upstairs hallway bathroom (really!), the sun room (despite the fact that you could hear anyone talking in the kitchen, where the main intercom master was, from there) and the dining room, with simple answer speakers at the front, side and back doors that also had doorbell buttons, making a total of twelve stations. For all I know, there was another in the guest house and/or garage. The intercom panel was not the type which could access stations individually, though even if it had been a master that can operate 16 extensions doesn't necessarily mean sixteen are installed. This was a decentralized system, where the individual panels have talk/monitor/listen controls but the master panel doesn't have switches for the stations, just a general inside, outside, both, off.

Installed the intercom on my FJR. Also built a switched 12v hookup box to put under the seat (since the battery is under the fairing). Works great.
For now, the connections to the Starcom1 are dangling out the grab handle I use to put the FJR up on its centerstand. I have the bulkhead kit, and will be installing it later.

Here is my video review of the "Levana LV-TW501 Safe N See Digital Video Baby Monitor with Talk-to-Baby Intercom and Lullaby Control" (shoo, that's a mouth full). Hopefully this review will help you decide on this product or not. If you have any questions please post a comment and I'll reply. Over-all this looks like a great product with lots of features. Although I am not familiar with Levana products it seems very well made.

On Monday I had a monster day, and I knew I was going to struggle to get some quality photos so I snapped a quick photo in Lambeth North tube stop of the Emergency Intercom. For those of you that are keeping up with my 365 project it's a little strange that I've taken 3 photos of the last 6 or so of Elevators. Strange indeed, there's no rationale for it on my side.
