Fatigue is still the most common mode of failure in structural and mechanical components.
It is a progressive cracking mechanism which develops as a result of cyclic stress and which can lead to major failures, with severe consequences to plant, equipment, the environment and human lives.
Metals, plastics, composites and ceramics are all susceptible and joints in structural members have particularly poor fatigue strength and must therefore be carefully designed for cyclic loading.

Got Dayle last week on ebay for a bargain! I hated her outfit, so I promptly put her on something more fashionable lol. I couldn't get her hair to lay flat around her head either, so I opted for the always chic ponytail over continuing to mess around with it.

I'm debating the cropping on this one. I'm wondering if I should include the gloved hand...
The shot wasn't posed, but I couldn't ask for better exposure of the words on the pencil. The composition makes me think of the value of integrity being number two on the list of anything and being playfully chewed upon seems thought provoking to me and has an artistic feel.
