After 'playing' so many years with BJD dolls, I don't get any kicks from these kind of dolls anymore :(
Misaki & Amelie, I've just got them yesterday, I had a hard time choosing the best face print, but I think I picked the cutest!^^
1st Integrity doll with blue skin and purple hair ever ! She sure is unique ;)
I still have to style her hair a little because it's a little messy, but I wanted to try Synergy a new style.
I picked this lady up in an antique shop today, marked "Integrity Veronique". It's the 2005 Glitterati Veronique, wearing Barbie's "Hooray For Hollywood" outfit.
Can I just say I was devastated that my holy grail doll was 50% off at Integrity Direct and I only got paid a few days after he sold out? I was vaguely bitter but I wanted at least /something/ from Integrity Direct’s holiday sales so I picked up a Poppy Parker body in Japan tone and a Light Honey NuFace body.
I have no idea who to use the PP body for but I instantly knew I wanted my Pink n Pretty Christie to have a NuFace body. I was vaguely happy with her skin tone match on the Black tone Dynamite Girls body but I really wanted Christie to be much more statuesque and lanky looking and the DG body looked too average for my tastes. Plus while the Black tone did sorta match her I hoped Light Honey would have been a closer match, and I love it.
Deanna, my AA action Girl clone I got from @dollsahoy I noticed matched the Black tone almost perfectly so with a bit of futzing around she got a taller body too.
It’s funny how both these doll heads came from @dollsahoy, they both started off with Liv doll bodies and now they both have Integrity Toys bodies.
Day 3: Black and White Challenge.
This is a photograph of my 2011. (old photograph)
Nominated by Leslie and robyne523 to play the Black and White Challenge. The Challenge is to take a Black and White picture for the next 5 days. For each of the black and white pictures you have a chance to nominate someone else to also do the challenge.
I nominate kate!
I preordered an Integrity Toys Homme body on their direct store and decided to buy their Dynamite Girls "Black" body cuz hey it was half price (IT said they would receive the body late Jan but I’ve heard nothing yet). From what I saw online A Tone was usually IT’s second or third most dark skin tone so I hoped I could articulate one of my painted body dolls.
Unfortunately, it’s nowhere near the skin tone of my vintage Live Action Christie.
It’s closer to the Grace/Kara skin tone (Afra and light black) but it’s a lot less orange.
In the end I chose to put my late 70s/early 80s Malibu Christie on here since she has the same issue with being too grey for modern dolls. My Pink N’ Pretty Christie from 1981 is the exact same skin tone so I guess IT (light) A-tone would match the 80s AA mattel dolls.
... And this forced separation with Mihai had been hurting all the time, like a wound that had barely scabbed over. Takéo couldn't bear thinking about his missing lover, and yet he couldn't but think about him... About all the happy moments they had had. During his walks he kept stumbling upon places they used to frequent together, for both he and Mihai had walked around Old Paris so often and knew many of its hidden corners and magnificent views.
