This is my spare 90K miles insurance policy engine I bought for £125 from a bloke in Barry. He'd planned on building it for an E34 then found a cheap 4.4 M62 V8 so surprisingly enough went that route instead.
It's an M52B25 Single VANOS so the block is a proper match for my M50 head (but Ali instead of Iron). In the unfortunate event my home brew block goes south this will be waiting in the wings.
I bought the engine home whole in the boot of my 330 Touring which was a bit of a squeeze and then stripped it down on the weekend. Some water had got into one of the bores so it may not be ideal but the head is great so worst case I'll have a spare good head.
The engine was cheap because most of the plastic bits such as the manifold and valve cover were a little melted where the previous previous owner had tried to drain the car's fuel tank by pulling out one of the injectors and then running the engine. Unsurprisingly there was a small fire. I don't need any of the plastic parts so they all went straight in the skip.

Because of the tight schedule, there was only four and a half months from completion of preliminary plans to occupancy of the building. Occupancy occurred 15 days ahead of the schedule.
The site is in northeast Sacramento near the central business district of the rapidly growing area. It is a three and a half acre lot with an 800 foot frontage on Watt Avenue.

UK National Insurance Act 1911
The National Insurance Act 1911 created National Insurance - originally a system of health insurance for industrial workers in Great Britain based on contributions from employers, the government, and the workers themselves. It was one of the foundations of the modern welfare state.
Funds for providing the benefits conferred by the National Insurance Act 1911 were to be derived from contributions made by the insured person, their employer, and grants made from moneys voted by Parliament. That element of the contribution which comprised the amounts paid by the employee and employer was payable weekly and collection was normally arranged by the novel expediency of selling "insurance stamps", through the agency of the Post Office, to the employer, who deducted the employee's contribution from his wages. The stamps were then affixed to contribution cards which became records of continuing participation and entitlement in the schemes.
