Over the past 18 years Holly has worked in a variety of worldwide destinations including Honduras, Thailand, Australia, UK, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Singapore and has specifically designed a program that incorporates real life personal industry experience. The program includes the PADI Emergency First Response Instructor (EFRI) Course which takes place approximately midway during the PADI IDC. All components have been designed and scheduled to seamlessly flow in accordance with associated components. With the new schedule candidates need to complete a portion of online learning and EFRI training now takes place directly after the Rescue Diver portion. Although the online segments are designed to replace traditional classroom based topics, Holly still conducts a review whereby personal experience will be applied to these segments providing real life examples.
Of course all segments of the program are conducted in accordance within the specified PADI IDC curriculum, but are also expanded to provide candidates with a more complete learning experience. All workshops and components are related directly to Holly’s personal experience, giving candidates actual real life circumstances and providing new instructors with a range of options when it comes to dealing with and overcoming common problems in a range of real life situations that often occur.
A whole range of additional workshops outside of the PADI IDC curriculum have also been added to the program intended to strengthen new instructors teaching ability. There is a more focused approach to continuing education including teaching specialty areas of the Advanced Course and the PADI Rescue Diver Course. During the Instructor course candidates are required to learn about PADI standards, teaching techniques and recommended sequences. Holly also will expand this section to discuss Industry standards laid out by the WRSTC, international standards such as ISO/EN/BS and DIN as well as local legislative regulations and how these can work together. Another discussion based workshop includes planning and organizing training activities in a set location with specific environmental and logistical constraints. The great thing is that these locations are based on Hollys own previous experience in real life situations and locations.
For those looking for the absolute highest possible standard of training with a highly experienced leader in providing professional scuba diving instructor training, this is it. Taking the PADI IDC Gili Islands Program with Holly provides new instructors with the skills, knowledge and most of all confidence to be highly successful in this exciting and dynamic career. Finding out more information about the PADI IDC with Holly is the easy part. FBI Uniform Crime Reports consistently indicate the majority of officer involved shootings occur between 18:00 and 02:00, under reduced light or in conditions where no light is present. Human night vision is poor so we depend heavily on artificial light in conditions with little or no light. For various reasons, very few agencies issue pistol mounted lights to every officer. Firearms instructors receive little if any instruction in the tactical use of their flashlight and few departments have any kind of ongoing reduced light firearms or tactical light training.
Popow v. Margate mandated that police officers must be trained in the conditions they are likely to work including conditions of dim or no light. Every law officer is likely to encounter reduced light conditions during their shift whether it is a dark basement on the day watch or working during the hours of darkness. Tactical Flashlight Instructor was designed to meet the needs of the law enforcement trainer to create and integrate realistic training with sound tactics designed around modern tactical illumination tools for their training program.
This course will not teach you how to be an instructor. Prior basic firearms/DT instructor level training is required as a pre-requisite.
