This iteration of a long-standing program saw colder temps than in years past. We may have been a bit earlier than the snakes to their gathering spaces, as we found only a handful (no pun intended!) of garter snakes, a gopher, and a northern racer. The rattlesnakes hadn't quite yet showed up, though everybody got a chance to see a variety of slithery celebrities, including a rubber boa and rattlesnake the instructors Scott and John had on hand already. Oh yeah, and we saw a scorpion!
