Moscow, Russia (November 14, 2021) — A 45-degree angle shot of a Polaroid camera, model 636 Close Up, also known as OneStep Close Up in some regions. This entry-level folding instant photo camera was mass-assembled in Russia in the 1990s by a Svetozor joint venture. PHOTO CREDIT SHOULD READ: Yuri Litvinenko / 30pin

This photo was made for 30pin, an online magazine of computer tech history. As the web site ceased operation in March 2022 during the conflict in Ukraine, the photo was relicensed as free cultural works by its authors.

Figuring out the exposures on the Lomo'Instant as everything usually develops super dark.

Setting: (C) No flash, Daylight, No exposure adjustment.

Friends don't really make for good models, apparently.

was found in the basement this evening while he was cleaning up and getting ready to drywall the future dark room under the stairs.

This is way too cool because, I was just talking to him about picking up a polariod camera and there it was...

I love when things like this happen!

I need to buy film and a battery.

Cross (xxx) your fingers, hope it works out for me.

Thank you Jim for finding this little treasure....xo

This photo was taken last weekend with my Instax Mini 8. Since I don't have a scanner it's a photo of a photo. I've tried to edited it as accurate to the original picture as possible. I'm very impressed with the quality of the Instax! The originals are much better than I manage to accomplish in editing.

Another very old portrait, taken with my trusty Polaroid SX-70 probably in 2005. I tried to bust it out at Slab City, but there was gunk on the rollers that I needed to clean. Will return to posting night shots soon.

It's the double flowering cherry tree.

It was blooming on the edge of the small river very near our house.

The cherry blossom has finished.

Now on the same place, lilac tree is blooming.

Not until London rolled around did I know anything about competition swimming. It's been one of the many events I've regularly watched. I've learned a lot (bit of an overstatement) watching the US take gold, silver, and bronze in such a sport.

Back in the late-1970s, I picked up this Polaroid Pronto! instant camera real cheap at a yard sale. It didn't work and I tried to fix it. Needless to say, I was no camera repairman, so it didn't get fixed. Over the years, I must have lost the rest of the pieces because all I have left now is the faceplate.
