Impossible Film
Instant Camera walk
Flickrmeetup teamed up with Photobooth SF for a fun photo walk using impossible film and polaroid cameras. My 'pulling' technique needs a lot of work. I need more muscle it seems for a smooth photo. But I am happy for a 'first time'. Great experience and loved having a photo to hold almost immediately.
This town is full of wild strawberries! It takes forever for me to walk someplace because i have to stop and pick them all the time! ^^
This photo was taken last weekend with my Instax Mini 8. Since I don't have a scanner it's a photo of a photo. I've tried to edited it as accurate to the original picture as possible. I'm very impressed with the quality of the Instax! The originals are much better than I manage to accomplish in editing.
So today Clem and Maddy introduced me to a Wooded hillside in Frodsham - where, in the middle of our walk - we came upon three polaroid photos wedged into a signpost at a viewpoint. They'd been there a little while - but not too long, by the looks of things, and had got a little wet. Their layers were just beginning to separate and the colours had run (in my opinion, just the right amount).
How did they get there? Were they left there deliberately; abandoned by accident? had someone else found them and picked them up?
I chose the most beautiful - and brought it home with me. I've scanned it - adjusted the levels a teeny bit, and used a high pass filter in photoshop.
It would be lovely to find the person whose photo it is - so I can return the original.
I like it a lot.

This photo is from my current ongoing "ScaryCanary Polaroid Portrait Project". ScaryCanary is the independent music venue and gallery that is very much at the centre of the local alternative music scene at. I play there myself on a regular basis and am using up some of my remaining stock of Fuji FP3000B on a series of portraits of people who work, exhibit, perform and "hang out" there.

The Minolta Instant Pro land camera is very similar to the Polaroid Spectra Pro, and used Polaroid Spectra film. It allows manual focusing, time exposures, exposure correction for back lighting, sequential images, and multiple exposures. It sports a glass f10 125mm lens, and it came with a close-up adapter. It was often used in conjunction with conventional film cameras to gauge composition and lighting in a two dimensional format.

Strobist: AlienBee 800 with HOBD-W camera left. Gold reflector camera right at 5:00. Triggered by Cybersync.
Strobist info: SB-700 with a Fstopper Flash Disc camera right slightly above the subject. 1/8th Power and triggered with PWIII.
My newly acquired Polaroid Spectra 2 and it's fully functional. Happy to finally own a Polaroid camera!
Slobbed around in my night clothes all day as I didn't need to leave the house. Tested my Fuji Taylor Swift Instax Camera for parallax error and I think I've got it sorted (See above)
This colorful instant camera is on the cover of my Hipster Coloring Book! I colored this page using markers and colored pencils. It was really fun to create this image and add lots of groovy abstract details around the camera.

jamesblucher: Gotta get one of these myself!
I purchased this circa-1973 SX-70 from ShopGoodwill but it arrived damaged. I sent it to Matt Widmann at 2nd Shot SX70 who did a great job fixing it up.
