I don't know why I still fool with instant film. Generally, the cameras are primitive, the film is unpredictable and expensive, and you can't just tap a button and email them unless you scan them first... Can't seem to give it up though.

hello... I'm still figuring out the Lomo Instant Wide I got for Christmas. Unfortunately, I am having some problems with it. The blanks from the beginning of the pack of film are getting stuck and I end up having to gently (as possible) the rock the whole pack out and extract (back through the camera) the blank. Obviously, that first piece of film is ruined, but after that everything works okay. I'm in email conversation with Lomo about this.
Other than that, I'm happy with the camera. It seems to pull in more light than the mini, so I'm trying to get used to that. The remote shutter device works...most of the time. I haven't played much with the close up or wide angle lenses. I do like the ability to turn off the flash completely, use a bulb setting, and make multiple exposures.
I do hope we can figure out what's up with the camera...that is, I hope Lomo offers me a solution!
Lola really took a liking to Lettie right away, and vice versa! I found the two of them chatting up a storm relaxing in the yard. Lola likes the fact that she and Lettie have so much in common. Unlike the other girls in the house, Lettie is more worldly and she's traveled far and wide! Lola likes to ask her questions about France and London and all the other places she's been to.. I can see them becoming BFFs very soon :)
Picked up the Instant Lab from the post office (had to pay the customs fees) this evening. I was a Kickstarter backer for this Project back in March 2012.
I'm eager to test this soon.
Reclaimed negative from Fuji FP100-C instant film sheet.
Had just binned most of the peel off parts to the instant film sheets, thinking they were useless, but had kept a bunch for some reason, then found various youtube vids explaining the process of reclaiming the negative using bleach. (I would point out that you should ensure you are doing this process in a well ventilated area, as the fumes were nasty, and wear gloves when using the bleach....have seen vids with people just using their bare hands!).
These didn't work out perfectly, but I'd have been disappointed if they had - I like the random blobs/colours etc!

I overheard the pizza guy telling Daisy that she "always looks so nice", and that it was "a pleasure to be of service to such a beautiful lady". I do believe that was just what she needed to break her out of the doldrums. The look on her face says it all. 😊💗💗
Students in Kakuma refugee camp, Kenya using tablets from Instant Classroom, the Vodafone Foundation’s ‘digital school in a box’.
Two Instant Classroom units were delivered to Kakuma in July 2015 to connect Greenlight Secondary School and the community library to the internet giving students access to free digital educational resources. The Instant Classroom is shipped in a secure and robust 52kg case which is equipped with a laptop, 25 tablets pre-loaded with educational software, a projector, a speaker and a hotspot modem with 3G connectivity. The tablets can connect to the laptop locally, enabling teachers to deliver content and applications to students without the need to access the internet. All the components can be charged simultaneously from a single power source while the case is locked. After 6-8 hours of charging time, the Instant Classroom can be used for a full day in a classroom without access to electricity.
The portable nature of the equipment has allowed for Instant Classroom to be moved between schools, enabling more students to benefit from tablet based learning.
