Gavin Heath has been creating art from glass since 1987 and has been exhibiting his work at the Sawdust Art Festival and the Festival of the Arts for 20 years.
He is available for custom installations such as the above. He also teaches private classes in glass blowing at his Laguna Beach studio. You can also find his work at auction.
When not making art out of glass Gavin travels the world surfing in remote areas.

I am a Penguin is a film exploring the concept of a soul mate. The penguins is a metaphor for being someone's soul mate and in the same way being a soul mate to someone else. It then evolved to an installation piece with 11 penguins and the film showing on 3 screens. The penguins went through different emotional phases throughout the installation. Each penguin had an egg which interacted with and had to protect it from the audience as well as each other. Each penguin moved through the space repeating only the words 'I am a Penguin'. Exploring emotions such as doubt, insecurity, confidence and self affirmation of being a penguin. The installation ends with all the penguins huddling together as a ritual to protect their eggs and themselves from the cold and loneliness. Link to film youtu.be/cmVe4ArlBNw

I made a very simple max patch that played overtones on A 440 through this little speaker, and recorded the nice overdriven and pebble-bouncing texture of it a few times. Might be nice to turn this into an installation - the sound of it really filled my room up. Yummy.
