Seven triangular prisms with punched plastic boards are installed in the room. If you walk around the room, the patterns change dynamically.

This is the finished product before installation.
The final patina is salt wet with vinegar put half way into tobbaco that is dampened with ammonia.
You must drop in here between Kyoto Loco and CMWC Tokyo trip.

The installation crew is slowly placing the 30' long pole on top of its base. Martin Puryear's work will be exhibited from February 24-May 18, 2008.
Scott Kip posted to Facebook this picture of Curt Mangel and his crew installing the Centennial Tuba on the 7th floor. The console is faintly visibile behing the second pipe, down on the second floor. This work had to be done after the store was closed. The Tuba pipes are hooded, bent over at the top, so the sound is projected directly into the grand court in the manner of a Trompette en Chamade

Starfield is an installation where a swing is used to create a large interactive starry sky.
With a Kinect installed behind the swing and a video projector, the software creates a galaxy of stars in which the user wanders with the rhythm of his swing.
Created with openFrameworks, the application allows to configure almost any type of swing.
With anaglyph glasses, a 3D mode gives an even more immerse experience.

Hand sculpted bronze of OPHELIA (Ophelia's suicide) set on a 4" bed of molten glass. Shown as an installation piece with bronze columns and hand-made concrete pedestals. The piece rests an a 1/2" of see-thru glass.
This installation entitled “Unlimited Talk and Text” challenges us to face the reality of the times we live in. A 10ft (3m) paper mâchéd tree sculpted with pages from found phone books is reincarnated again to its natural posture reminding us of the past we once lived in while at the same time reminding us of the future that is ahead of us. The phonebook is no longer a necessity as technology advances us into a paperless society putting this species of ‘staple household items’ on the endangered list while the process of making these books also leads to putting species of trees, forests, habitats etc. on the endangered list as well.
