Inspired by the scimitar swords in the coat of arms of Qatar, the building rises 36 stories to a height of 211 meters in Lusail, Qatar

Architect: Kling Consult (est. 2022)

Part of a series of 29 fine art photos on modern architecture in Qatar commissioned by Qatar Tourism, taken earlier in 2022. This series of 29 photographs is being exhibited right now in the M7 museum in Doha, Qatar. What you will see as the series of 29 unfolds in the next weeks, is that there’s a strong connection between the architect’s design and its environmental and cultural context. I’ve tried to celebrate the architect’s design through my interpretation of it in relation to its environment. The tonal composition has been carefully designed to give visual weight to the architectural structures and pronounce their forms, while the material and spatial composition (object and space selection and arrangements) enhances the visual energy of the structures as they are juxtaposed to the serenity of the (back)grounds. A serenity that is inspired by the characteristics of a desert area. All 29 photos have been photographed and processed in roughly 3.5 months only using the B&W Artisan Pro panel to speed up the process and increase accuracy.

If you happen to be in the area: the exhibition at the M7 museum in Doha runs till January 2023 and is on the 2nd floor. Printed on Fujifilm Crystal Archive Pearl (Metallic C-Type), with Diasec Classic by DifoArt in the size of 150x100cm (60x40 inches)

Dear friends, contact, members and visitors~ this is my sincere

and most honest wish... only to invite this image to groups

where it belongs... we simply can

not have one image in every group..it is not fair to other

images, not fair to their creators...

Thank You!

Every time I open the Flickr App on my phone I see an Image I loved by Thomas Heaton Once I found the photographer I followed his video Blog www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOcgR8BDYv8 & was inspired to get out & do some wild camping photography, so what better place to start than Place Fell in the lake district.

This is my homage to that image, the sunset wasn't the best & I didn't wake up looking down over a cloud inversion!

A subject that caught my eye in the village of Bampton Oxfordshire. The lane leads the eye to St Marys church built between the 10th and 16th century's. Ideally I would have preferred no cars in front of the church but you have to work with what is there at the time, at least the car is a beautiful old Saab.

An ephemeral stream in the Valley of the Gods mirrors North Tower and Arrowhead. The valley is also mirrored by another valley to the south, Monument Valley, but is less visited and subject to fewer recreational restrictions than its more famous neighbor.

very very rarely is anything in life totally black or white. its when diff minds get together , lol minds that have no right being in contact, that life gets interesting.

i always luv talking to you :-)

this really did remind me of a quote. a prof i had years ago had it printed in plain white block letters on black paper (yeah thats where i first saw that) and hung it on her office wall. i always luved it ....

“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
