Hope you will have a lovely time during this holiday season ♥
...my friends Helen, Debbie and Marie I finally dusted off the LensBaby to give a go at a bouquet of grocery store flowers. To be honest, I think I should have cropped the top a bit - but I'm not going to fuss about such a thing today, maybe tomorrow LOL
I added Cheryl Tarrant's texture for a bit of whimsy.
I am a wee bit behind - hope to catch up today.
Be well!
Almost summer, but already feels like dying because of a heatstroke :(
So photo inspired by me just suffering in this weather and wanting to be at least in a pool lol

Inspired by Beate's lovely gift to me of Nell Dorr's
"Mother and Child"
"Each Door-Step has its own blossoms
And these are mine.
The fragrance of their breath is the air I breathe
And their roots go deep.
Yet here is no new kind of flower,
For every April smells of lilacs
And every mid-summer of the rose.
We are each of us brought forth by the same mother,
The human creature after his kind..." -- Nell Dorr

This is a busy time for me as I make up small gifts with my photography for a few special people in my life. I have 2 weeks before I retire and I have worked with many wonderful people along the way. Plus, I made connections with students that have enriched my life. My gifts are mainly inspired by nature's art. This lovely wildflower is called the Indian Paintbrush. I am looking forward to having more time for my own art soon.
Inspired by the famous Mexican Diego Rivera, generations of Mission muralists (there are more than 500 muralist artist today) have covered neighborhood alleys and community institutions in graffiti attitude. Here is the elephant by Andrew Schoultz.
Inspired by all of the beautiful seascapes that BlueberryAsh has been posting I decided to go back and revisit my Phillip Island images to make sure I hadn't missed any good ones. This is actually a combination of two images taken of this scene, one had the nice spray, the other had the nice white semi-circular wash on the sand. I like the combined version and hope you do too, taken near Cadillac Canyon, Phillip Island.

Howdy, I'm alive and mostly well. :-)
I have literally been working nights days and weekends, I was on overtime Wednesday afternoon, but whatever, here it is 3 am and I'm hoping to go to sleep soon....
anywho, I just watched a documentary on Ansel Adams, A photographer that I must admit to have never heard of until people threw his name my way on occasion and until this evening didn't really know who or what he was. I immediately went to Lr and processed this (one of two shots yet unprocessed that I have left.....) If you want to take the time and compare it to 'feeling small', or 'nothin to see here' , you'd see the difference in style. almost the same take, much different vibe. AA wanted to bring what he felt more than what he saw and I think this is along those lines. It is a subtle difference, but an important one I think. Looking at this stirs my soul, looking at this brings back that giddyness that I experienced watching the scene unfold. what do you think?
Once again I've fallen behind and I don't see me catching up soon as it is hectic here with work and the holidays are racing at me, but I wanted to throw this out there for debate before I checked out.
please take a moment to blow this up and tell me what you think.
Have been playing a little too much Cyberpunk 2077 recently, and this look was totally inspired by Johnny Silverhand... #SorryNotSorry
HOBBY: Computing, as in building computers, repairing, and any electronics. Never toss an electronic or computing component even if deader than the proverbial doornail. My husband is the expert. I’m trying to learn.
WHAT: Light-emitting diodes (LED) pre-cut (or before sizing) in/on a breadboard. Yes, shallow depth of field. By choice!
FOCAL POINT: Third from left LED in front row.
LIGHTING: Components are in a soft box lighted on two sides by standing Photogenic StudioMax lights triggered by an off-camera SB 800 strobe at 1/64 power.
SIZE: The breadboard (base with holes) measures 2 in / 5.08 cm), and with the negative/unused space equals about 2.5 in / 6.35 cm.
The height including negative/unused space measures 1.75 in / 4.45 cm.
Thanks for looking!

Another New Year's Resolution suggestion. "I promise to spend time being inspired by music and letting it move me into a better relationship with a friend."
Music can be a powerful thing. It can transform us. It is the universal language that we can all understand and that is what makes it so very special. You would be surprised how listening to music with someone can grow a bond.
For me, listening to music with loved ones is deep rooted. Putting on records for my grandma and sitting quietly together, holding hands and smiling at each other as we listened intently was some of my fondest memories of time spent with her.
Imagine what it can do for you. You're on a road trip with someone who you don't know how to talk to. You hear a song you both like and suddenly you both are singing the lyrics out loud. This act breaks the awkward silence and gives you both common ground. :) Think about the possibilities music can add to your life. They are infinite. Happy listening!
1. I promise to do one nice thing for a person each day.
2. I promise to reach out to someone I have not in a long time.
3. I promise to spend time being inspired by music and letting it move me into a better relationship with a friend.
