The second generation of the Honda Insight was sold here from 2010 until 2013. Still being a hybrid model it was a different car compared to the first generation. Unlike the Toyota Prius sales of the Insight were disappointing and production was stopped early. On some markets a new Insight was introduced in 2018.

A Hummer H3 (2006-2010) and a Gen1 Honda Insight Hybrid (2000-2006), at the parking lot of a McDonald's restaurant somewhere west of Dearborn, Michigan. Just from an EPA fuel economy standpoint at face value, one travels about 4 times as far as the other on the same amount of fuel. Not making a value judgment here. One carries twice as many passengers than the other. Fortunately, there are many more choices available in the field of transportation!

The latest Design Insights for my years-long project to build the entirety of Imperial Rome are now posted on my Patreon page! These insights cover the VELABRUM; the region of Ancient Rome which sat at a crossroads between the Capitoline and Palatine Hills.
Like the Arch of Janus depicted in the sneak peek rendering, this post marks a turning point in the progression of this project which I first announced on the Kalends of January. It has taken some time to lift off the ground, but the steadfast support of all my patrons has helped me reach a point where the design updates will now be coming fast & furious over the next several weeks of intense design efforts.
I very much still need your support in making this project a reality! It's no stretch to say that this is my most comprehensive - and exciting - project to date. NASA's InSight lander just hitched a ride to Mars on an Atlas V rocket! ETA: November 26, 2018. This was the first interplanetary mission to leave from California and it was a joy to watch it go! [167/365] Insights in a Christmas tree.
A thing called life stepped in front of my project 365. And I’m glad it did…
The break gave me the chance to look at my project 365 from another viewpoint and I realized that I was on a wrong path.
Some would call my break in this project 365 as a failure. But it all depends on the viewpoint. Sometimes a break can give valuable insights that is the difference between a total failure and a success.
I think I’m back on the right path and it is time to start moving again…
