Nothing common about the Common Buckeye Butterfly - I love those eye spots! I also like the spider webbing in the pic, must be my "creepy" side coming out.

I spotted this spider on the tip of a leaf, staring at an insect. The insect was engrossed in eating a smaller insect, and did not notice the spider approaching. In an instant, the spider had jumped on the insect and the eater was itself eaten.
A kidnapped drone fly hoverfly. I trapped and took home the hoverfly from Highdown gardens. Did some outside "studio" work with it. I then fed it and after a little while it took off to find some shelter.

Found some insect nymphs in some bushes today. I don't know the ID but I am thinking maybe Assassin Bug as I saw one eating a fly. These were really tiny!
