Common Grass Yellow (Eurema hecabe)
a very common species in India.
Key clues: pale lemon-green underside, fine wing veins, small brownish discal spot, and its frequent presence on lantana flowers.
Nicht nur innen sind die Flügel des Schachbrettfalter wunderschön sondern auch von außen kann sich der Falter sehen lassen. Einfach einzigartig schön finde ich.
The wings of the checkered white butterfly are not only beautiful on the inside, but the butterfly is also impressive from the outside. I just find it uniquely beautiful.
A dark brown butterfly with distinct white patches rests on a broad green leaf, its wings closed in profile. The soft background fades into neutral tones, allowing the texture of the leaf veins and the butterfly’s patterned wings to stand out clearly.
Photographed at the Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster, Colorado. The side profile emphasizes the crisp white wing markings and the subtle scalloping along the wing edges, while the macro lens keeps the background clean and unobtrusive.
The Large Red Damselfly (Pyrrhosoma nymphula) is a medium-sized, strikingly vibrant insect native to the western Palearctic. It is highly recognisable as one of the earliest damselflies to emerge in the spring across Europe and the UK
The Little Ant
How big is an oleander flower to a little ant?
It could hide among the petals, wander through its colourful world and perhaps find a little meal along the way.
To us, just a flower. To him, an entire world.
Mali mrav
Koliko je velik cvijet oleandra jednom malom mravu?
Može se u njemu sakriti, prošetati među laticama i možda pronaći svoj mali obrok.
Nama cvijet. Njemu cijeli jedan svijet.

To me, the most interesting parts of this dragonfly is the color green, and the wonderful eyes. The substrate was not that nice. All in all, I decided to go for an extreme crop and vignette, emphasizing the elements I like about it.
Resting on a Hosta flower, this butterfly is quite small at about an inch in size.
While the underside of the wings shown here have lovely markings, the soft blue of the inside/top of the wings can't be seen. Tomorrow I will post an image with its wings open and with that beautiful blue clearly showing.
Have a great Sunday everyone!
