Dragonflies are creatures of habit. You just point your camera at a spot it just took off from and you can be pretty sure it will return to the same spot several times over a short time.

This hornet must have wandered accidentally into our kitchen. At the moment I took this image, it was drinking from a drop of water on the handle of a sharp knife, lying near the sink.

None of the photos I snapped with my macro lens turned out focused exactly to my liking; perhaps it was the lighting. But, I think it's worth sharing a frame of this little insect.

Not many insects around at the moment, but we have some large and not very active flies in the house.

Nothing common about the Common Buckeye Butterfly - I love those eye spots! I also like the spider webbing in the pic, must be my "creepy" side coming out.

Found some insect nymphs in some bushes today. I don't know the ID but I am thinking maybe Assassin Bug as I saw one eating a fly. These were really tiny!
