An exhausted bee feeding on sugar water I put out for him. He flew away a very happy chap a few moments later.

This little whirlwind was flitting in the flowers all day today, they move so lightning fast it is not easy to get a photo!

That's my best general guess. ID anyone? It's about the same size as a honeybee.

Plant bug on hollyhock. Focus stacked using zerene

captured this swallowtail on the butterfly bush this summer. At one point the bush was swarming with these butterflies! As the sun began to go down in the evenings, it was a sight to behold.
