saw these ants climbing a wall with their meal. ants are so fascinating to watch and learn from. organization is built into them

or have I been reading the wrong book?

first day out for a week hunting for stoats ,saw two ,got no pics ,so may-bee this will do

Found at unnamed local park/forest west of Dawson Avenue in town of Theodore. Queensland, Australia.

 

Possibly Callibracon? Found on trunk of tree.

A particularly fearsome-looking mosquito, especially seen close up.

I can just hear the one on top asking, "Really, Lady... Do ya MIND???"

Cet insecte, un peu papillon, un peu libellule, a été une découverte pour moi en cette année où j'ai débuté la photo. Pas facile à photographier, chaque cliché est un défi mais passer du temps à les observer, à déclencher est un vrai bonheur...

 

This insect, a bit butterfly, a bit dragonfly, was a discovery for me this year when I started photography. It's not easy to photograph, each shot is a challenge, but spending time observing them, taking the shots is a real joy...
