a handsome Leafcutter Bee en route back to the nest with its leaf portion on the handrail at Filsham Reedbeds. It is one of the genus Megachile, but species remains uncertain, possibly M.versicolor but possibly not.

An Ichneumon wasp found in the garden. It is one of the Ichneumoninae subfamily, and thanks are owed to Jaswinder Boparai for identifying it as Stenichneumon culpator. The blunt tooth on hind coxa is diagnostic. Additional pictures below show a bit more detail.
