The Thonigala Rock Inscriptions near Anamaduwa, Sri Lanka, date back as far as 47 BC and one is considered the longest of its kind in Asia. The main inscription in Early Brahmi script details financial information.
Volubilis developed from the 3rd century BC as a Berber, then proto-Carthaginian, settlement before being the capital of the kingdom of Mauretania. It grew rapidly under Roman rule from the 1st century AD.

Olympia, a sanctuary of ancient Greece in Elis, is known for having been the site of the Olympic Games in classical times, the most famous games in history. The Olympic Games were held every four years throughout Classical Antiquity, from the 8th century BC to the 4th century AD. The first Olympic Games were in honor of Zeus.
The former Quarantine Station on the shores of Sydney Harbour was used to isolate ship arrivals who we affected by disease, from the 1830s to the 1980s. A visit to this site is especially moving during the current pandemic. Many residents recorded their stay as graffiti carved into the rocks, such as these Chinese inscriptions which are rapidly weathering away.

道濟會堂是孫中山習醫時進行崇拜的教堂，位於荷李活道75號，雅麗氏醫院暨香港華人西醫書院旁，由倫敦會華人信徒於1888年籌建而成，是香港首間華人自立教會，1926年遷往新建成的合一堂，「道濟會堂」石刻則安置在正門左方的基石上。
To Tsai Church (道濟會堂), founded by the Chinese Christians of the London Missionary Society in 1888 and located at 75 Hollywood Road, Mid-levels (半山區), Hong Kong, was Dr Sun Yat-sen’s place of worship while he studied Medicine in the Hong Kong College of Medicine for Chinese (香港華人西醫書院). Due to its growth, this church erected a large building at the junction of Bonham Road and Seymour Road in 1926 and was renamed Hop Yat Church (合一堂).The stone inscription of 「道濟會堂」was installed at the front wall of Hop Yat Church.

On the Minster wall next to the West Door.
It reads "30 FOOT FROM THIS PLACE LIES INTERRED THE BODY OF GEORGE CHAPPELL WHO DIED SEPT 3 1679"
He was a Vicar Cori - the leader of the Minster choir.
I don't know the significance of the anchor above.
An inscription flanking the figures reads καλος Αθενοδοτος, "Athenodotos is beautiful"

Rhandel of the university of Petraea, ancient documents department had arranged to meet a grizzled old sailor at a seedy dock side tavern, for this sailor had in his possession a document telling of a secret passage leading into the strong room of one of the principle towns on the inland sea. when the sailor eventually turned up (much to Rhandels relief) a deal was eventually struck (involving no small amount of haggling and a good deal of gold). Little did the hagglers know that they were being watched by one who's motives were a lot more sinister, for the passage ended in the towns strong room, where all it's gold was kept. When Rhandel eventually left the tavern with his precious load, a cloaked figure detached itself from the darkness by the taverns window and began to follow him.

these are some of the petroglyphs on the ridges surrounding Inscription Canyon north of Barstow, CA.
A complex geometric panel is indicative of Shoshonean influence post AD 1000.
720 years ago someone erected a cross here. 370 years ago someone destroyed it. No mention when this plate was laid. Today thousands trample this walkway oblivious to the carved inscription and the history behind it. Times.
How I wish I could force my clumsy 21st century fore-paws to generate such elegant script. No one will be marveling over my forced scrawl in 100 years
