You come to us

from another world

From beyond the stars

and void of space.

Transcendent, Pure,

Of unimaginable beauty,

Bringing with you

the essence of love

You transform all

who are touched by you.

Mundane concerns,

troubles, and sorrows

dissolve in your presence,

Bringing joy

to ruler and ruled

To peasant and king

You bewilder us

with your grace.

All evils

transform into

goodness.

You are the master alchemist.

You light the fire of love

in earth and sky

in heart and soul

of every being.

Through your love

existence and nonexistence merge.

All opposites unite.

All that is profane

becomes sacred again.*

This wonderful photograph from Linda inspired me to have a closer look on the pavement...

to get the total velvet feeling: see it in large!!!!!!!!

A little saxifraga flower.... they are so tiny - it was an experience taking a closer macro-look on them! They grow like a pink cloud..... I tried to transport this feeling with the selective focus.

Dedicated to my niece Sarah... she has such wonderful inner eyes looking at and commenting my photographs!

While Diwali is popularly known as the "festival of lights", the most significant esoteric meaning is "the awareness of the inner light".

Central to Hindu philosophy is the assertion that there is something beyond the physical body and mind which is pure, infinite, and eternal. Just as we celebrate the birth of our physical being, Diwali is the celebration of this Inner Light.

Diwali celebrates this through festive fireworks, lights, flowers, sharing sweets, and worship. While the story behind Diwali varies from region to region, the essence is the same - to rejoice in the Inner Light.

Lots of rain this summer... probably that's why I feel so attracted by these wonderful bright colours... emanating so much joy and light.

*) Janoid... I took your comment as title... love it!

Don't miss the small beauties alongside your path...

>>Can you hear the Gods whispering in the dark,

speaking to you through the rustle of leaves?<<

The "disciples of the roving heart" pools question

There is a life-force within your soul, seek that life.

There is a gem in the mountain of your body, seek that mine.

O traveler, if you are in search of That

Don't look outside, look inside yourself and seek That. *

When I saw this little "fountains" I inmediately had my old favourite song in mind

"fountain of sorrow" by Jackson Browne... was going to put a link to the song... but

it didn't work, so here are the lyrics:

FOUTAIN OF SORROW

FOUNTAIN OF LIGHT

(...)

Fountain of sorrow, fountain of light

Youve known that hollow sound of your own steps in flight

Youve had to hide sometimes, but now youre all right

And its good to see your smiling face tonight

I love this place because it evokes in me the memories and emotions of the Sydney Olympics. The Happiness, the Harmony, the community and the excellence that gripped not only Sydney but the nation. Sydney Olympic Park, Homebush NSW

Stream of Life

The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day

runs through the world and dances in rhythmic measures.

It is the same life that shoots in joy through the dust of the earth

in numberless blades of grass and breaks into tumultuous waves of leaves and flowers.

It is the same life that is rocked in the ocean-cradle of birth

and of death, in ebb and in flow.

I feel my limbs are made glorious by the touch of this world of life.

And my pride is from the life-throb of ages dancing in my blood this moment.

"The offering songs"

Rabindranath Tagore

a shamanic journey to the dark side of the moon .. if you bring enough inner light along with you the whole thing lights up ...

There seems to be what looks like a poetic cow down there in a crater ringing it's bell ....

Thank you sooo much for all your best wishes to get well again!

I am still a little weary... haven't had a migrane like this for ages.

On my morning walk I found these two healing plants... St. John's wort

and Calendula (next pic). It is a real cloudy and dark morning, I was

marvelled by the intense inner light of these flowers.
