*Hildegard of Bingen
Hildegard of Bingen also known as Blessed Hildegard and Saint Hildegard, was a German magistra who founded two women's communities in the 3rd quarter of the 12th century. Although today she has commonly acquired the title of abbess, it is important to note that she never held that title during her lifetime and remained under the jurisdiction of the abbot of her parent monastery.
Hildegard of Bingen was an artist, author, counselor, dramatist, linguist, naturalist, philosopher, physician, poet, political consultant, prophet, visionary, and a composer of music. She is the first composer for whom a biography exists and one of her works, the Ordo Virtutem is one of the first known liturgical dramas.
She wrote theological, naturalistic, botanical, medicinal, and dietary texts, also letters, liturgical songs, poems, and the first surviving morality play, while supervising brilliant miniature illuminations.
This was Wikipedia on Hildegard of Bingen... what do I think of her? She was a great Mystic - an absolute fantastic, creative and strong women - with her whole life devoted to God. She has always been an exemplary women for me (besides Teresa of Ávila). So this is my little tribute to honour her.
It was quite a job to get the focus on the right spot (not that easy with f/2.8 and
handheld). Fortunately snails are sooo slow it works to focus just on this tiny,
little eye!
Love is the cure,
for your pain will keep giving birth to more pain
until your eyes constantly exhale love
as effortlessly as your body yields its scent.*

'Coffee shops' were unknown to London when this beautiful place was built (once a tea parlour, perhaps?)... They call it Globalisation.

Can't get enough of my beloved Gingko biloba tree...
To honour the Ginkgo, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote the following poem:
GINKGO BILOBA
The leaf of this Eastern tree
Which has been entrusted to my garden
Offers a feast of secret significance,
For the edification of the initiate.
Is it one living thing
That has become divided within itself?
Are these two who have chosen each other,
So that we know them as one?
I think I have found the right answer
To these questions;
Do my songs not make you feel
That I am both one and twain?
(J.W. v. Goethe)
Y en Espanol:
GINKGO BILOBA
The anemonas in my garden are in full bloom... I think over the last years I must have taken over 100 photographs of these beautiful garden dancers... still I couldn't withstand this morning... it was difficult to limit myself to upload only four of them ;)
Wishing all of you a wonderful start in the week! I still haven't caught up with all of you after returning from my vacations... there are over 160 flickrMails waiting to be answered oder looked up (those who marked me as a contact). I feel sooo sorry I am this behind. Hopefully when school starts in a week I will have some more time to be with you!

With My Beloved
With my Beloved I alone have been,
When secrets tender than evening airs
Passed, and the Vision blest
Was granted to my prayers,
That crowned me, else obscure, with endless fame;
The while amazed between
His Beauty and His Majesty
I stood in silent ecstasy
Revealing that which o'er my spirit went and came.
Lo, in His face commingled
Is every charm and grace;
The whole of Beauty singled
Into a perfect face
Beholding Him would cry,
'There is no God but He, and He is the most High. *

Dedicated to my dearest friend S! I am with You!
Special thanks to 'Playingwithbrushes' for the texture!
What divine drink wouldst thou have, my God, from this overflowing cup of my life?
My poet, is it thy delight to see thy creation through my eyes and to stand at the
portals of my ears silently to listen to thine own eternal harmony?
Thy world is weaving words in my mind and thy joy is adding music to them.
Thou givest thyself to me in love and then feelest thine own entire sweetness in me.
