Decided to stop trying to write in Chinese but still using the ink sticks - here with a bit of unipin fineline light grey no 0.5, which I shouldn't have added.
The sunflowers stopped blooming a month ago. They're looking quite ragged. We left them standing for the birds to feast on their seeds. The maple beyond our neighbor's garage has lost its leaves. #inktober2020 October25, 2020
Seems I have a category of still life drawings called "what's on my kitchen counter". The peppers are from our small kitchen garden, the spicy radish from the farmer's market. #inktboer 2020

Ok, not great but done! The ant body could have been darker but it’s too late now. Ants symbolise hard work — like finishing Inktober 2020!

This is the last day for inktober. It has been fun drawing and seeing other people's interpretations and drawings. I learned a lot and want to keep working in ink.

This is a copy of “fisherman in reclusion on an autumn river” from the Song Dynasty (960-1279), found at www.chinaonlinemuseum.com
This is from my north-facing bedroom windows. I started with an ink line drawing, then immediately launched into color with wax pastel. #inktober2020 October 20, 2020

After checking out the true story of the Van Trapp family singers on the Internet, I finally settled for this Venus fly trap on Pixabay.
A recipe for Turnip, Carrot, Leek Soup prompted us to go to the Waterloo Saturday Farmer's Market in the adjoining town. We know of only one grower that reliably has turnips at this time of year. Eureka! There they were piled high on their table: beautiful and delicious. October 3, 2020

( #Inktober2020 ) By Jacob Sibbern. Album "Gold & Silver" . This has been an add-on to the collection. The author doubted if it's part or not but we finally concluded it belongs to it &, anyhow was well worthy to be published.
Self. Technique: Ink pens & posca markers on paper.

This artwork, made by JS in 2015, framed a very happy moment of our Artist's Collective. It was made to ideally depict the entwinned/interwoven brotherhood among bro Jacob Sibbern (left, visible becos he is 1.83 mt tall, lol, sis WhiteAngel on the right as 1.73 mt,and bro Stefano Wolf, the tallest in the centre as 1.96 mt). Jacob painted it during his first months when he moved to Italy before definitelly relocating himself here in 2016.
White inks drawing (posca markers for the main 3 figurines & basement) plus watercolors painting on hard paper.
Ref. DSCF3090-500
This artwork, still dunno why/how, glows in the dark.

I'll have to figure out how to carve the stone seal that came with the chinese ink sticks. For now, a blank red square will have to do. I sketched the hippo from a free reference photograph I'd once saved from the Internet. Oh, I'll need to brush up on the writing too...
I was surprised to learn that the Rip Van Winkle story is about a Dutch-American who fell asleep for 20 years in the catskills... I guess there were bamboo trees there.
This is also this week’s theme on USK Flickr, so I sketched from life this time and did day 29 way early!

Another kitchen still life. Tomatoes from Meow Acres at the Cedar Falls Farmers Market, last Saturday. Nothing compares to locally grown produce. I'll probably add color to this drawing. #inktober2020, October 26, 2020
