Pooled blood and bruising, from a leg injury up by my knee. Gravity causes everything to build up in the foot.
On the day I was planning to go to international Pori Jazz fastival, I hurt my ankle at our summer cottage. I wasn't able to walk properly with it, so night out at Pori city was out of the question. What a perfect timing :(

Spending time with some family / friends at a cottage by Longpond Lake. Eventually when your barefoot in waters invested with muscles and rocks, glass, trash and whatever that guy dropped fooling around throwing a football, you may want to reconsider not leaving your only pair of sandals at home. With one diaper and some first aid kit medical tape your able to stop the bleeding from a major gash of thrusted out skin taking the shape of a triangle. Being rushed to the Emergancy room for just a lttle gash seems quite overrated, since all it needed was some cleaning and stitches did not have to be applied. I wil be heading out to that same lake at a different cottage nearby this Sunday, so I will be on the look out for that piece of my foot.

There are actually 3 scars on my forehead, all in the same spot. These are their stories.
#1: Second Grade
One day when I was in the second grade, our class earned a free recess for being such good little students. It was great, something a second grade class rarely achieves. Everyone put on their coats to go outside because it was pretty cold. I forgot my coat that day. However, me being the ingenious little boy I was, decided I could stay warm without a coat by putting my arms inside my shirt. Problem solved. Free recess, and I wouldn't be cold.
Well, on the way up the long cement stairs to the playground, I tripped. As my head came rushing towards the stair, I reached out my arms, but they were in my shirt, so my forehead broke my fall. It hit the corner of a cement stair. The stupid nurse at my schools put the butterfly band aid on wrong, so it was going parallel along the length of the cut, the sticky part was actually on the wound. My mom showed up and I told her "Don't worry Mom, it's worse than it looks," oops. She insisted on carrying me to the car and from the car into the hospital. 16 stitches in all, and wouldn't you know it, they came out just days before Halloween. It was a shame.
#2: Swing Set
This isn't as dramatic as the first, but in 4th grade, I believe, I was swinging on a swingset at recess with a friend, and we were leaning back very far to get that great sensation. Well, I leaned back too far and scraped my forehead against the gravel. No problem, they just had to clean it and bandage it. Well chalk one up to the school nurse again, she didn't get all the gravel out of the cut, as my mom discovered after it had healed. I had to have minor surgery to remove 3 small pieces of gravel from my head, leaving that scar.
#3: The Door
Luckily, with this one, the scar was exactly on top of scar #1, so it didn't add anything to my already plentiful palate. When I was a Junior in High School, I was leaving the choir room, and there was someone standing behind the door, and there was a poster covering the little window. The door stopped on the persons foot, and my head kept going.. into the screw on the little window border. I stumbled around, and everyone laughed, "Oh Mark, what a ham." It didn't hurt that bad, so I walked down the hall to get some chemistry help from a friend. Someone pointed out that my head was bleeding, so I went to the hospital where they glued me up. I should also note that my principal insisted that I must have been horsing around to have hit the door like that, and documented the accident as such.
