The morning I spent around Bogey Hole in Newcastle on the East Coast earlier this year presented many different shooting opportunities. One was the tidal pool (that I posted previously) and another was provided by the rocky shelf around the pool.
The conditions were changing rapidly during the morning with the clouds hiding and revealing bursts of colour every few minutes.
I managed to capture this scene with a good infusion of colour during one of those breaks.

The line was truly outrageous (like Jem)...
We were limited to one of each style (unless we had more than 14 preordered dolls).

I couldn't attend the Integrity Toys Cinematic Convention in Long Beach Last weekend for health reasons but I did manage to score a few new dolls! I love Sterling's face sculpt! He looks a little like Errol Flynn!
Here is is posing with Monogram Bemused!
The perfect brew if you're feeling a little under the weather or just need a soothing pick-me-up! We have a lemongrass bush in our kitchen garden, so it's always at hand.
I managed to hit three themes with this one: Fusion, Motion, and Curved!
Lighting: An SB-900 in a 28" softbox camera left, and an SB-800 pointed at the background wall. I also used some grey paper and a black-covered reflector to the right and left to create the dark areas in the water and glass. I turned off all the lights in the room to remove extra reflections, and kept the flash power as low as possible to freeze the motion of the (boiling hot!) water.
