Krujë. In the background the fortress. Kruje has Ottoman style influences seen in the alley with the old bazaar. Krujas old bazaar is well preserved, and is a very photogenic place, attracting quite some tourists. Nowadays it houses mainly souvenir shops with traditional Albanian costumes, musical instruments, old books and memorabilia from the Communist days.

VERSUS SUMMER EDITION
Before knowing the weather condition of the Himalayan region we should understand its geography. The Himalayan region covers an area of 2,250 km with an average width of 200 km.
The forest belt of the Himalayan region consists of Oak, Rhododendron, Birch, Pine, Deodar, and Fir. And the monsoon season in this region lasts for mid June till the end of September. The Himalayas influences the meteorological conditions in the Indian subcontinent to the south and in the Central Asian highlands to the north to a great extent. It acts a climatic divider circulating the air and water system to a great extent. Because of its altitude and location it blocks the passage of the cold winds coming from the north to the Indian sub continent thereby making India's climate much more moderate. It also influences the rainfall pattern in India. The combined effect of rainfall, latitude and altitude largely influences the forests belts in the Himalayan region. The rainfall is mostly recorded during the monsoon time of June to September but it decreases as you travel from east to west. The snow-capped ranges of the Himalayas stretch 2, 250 km from the Namcha Barwa to Nanga Parbat on the Indus. The range extends from east to west up to central-Nepal and then takes a southeast to northwest direction.

"The Casa dos Bicos (Portuguese for House of the Beaks/Spikes) is a historical house in the civil parish of Santa Maria Maior, in the Portuguese municipality of Lisbon. The house, built in the early 16th century in the Alfama neighbourhood, has a curious façade of spikes, influenced by Italian Renaissance palaces and Portuguese Manueline styles. It survived the disastrous 1755 Lisbon earthquake that destroyed much of the city, but over time was abandoned as a residence and used as a warehouse. After a 20th-century renovation, it became the headquarters of the José Saramago Foundation and a location of the Museum of Lisbon."

The Santa Sancha Palace is an old colonial looking, pink-colored building in the foreground surrounded by a larger garden. It is one of a few historic properties and architecture preserving the Portuguese influence in Macau, China. It is built on a plateau overlooking Sai Van Lake. This is within the Nam Van Lake District, a posh residential area. The bridge in the background is the Sai Van bridge.

Steinway Street in Astoria is part of Little Egypt. It's a neighborhood with a heavy mideast influence, but it's New York City. There's something for everyone. The culture is definitely Middle East. It's different, but it's a great neighborhood, and Steinway Street seems to be the heart of it.

The scene was backlit by a [pro]master VL1144 steady studio light through a 24" x 24" soft box, with a colorful translucent background placed in front of it. A single Nikon SB900 speedlight, fired in Manual mode @ 1⁄64 power through a Neewer 24" x 24" soft box, was placed at 4:00 for fill.
The speedlight was triggered by two PocketWizard Plus X flash triggers.

The chapel was built in the 13thcentury, in honour of the nurse of San Vito, Santa Crescenzia. Legend has it that the woman remained petrified - transgressing the order not to turn around during a landslide event - in the same place where the chapel later arose.
The structure is arabesque, but influences from other styles, particularly Gothic and Norman, can be seen. Initially it was used as a place of pilgrimage but. around the 15thcentury, it became a real fortress.

The incredible conditions on Sunday continued as we reached the top. Brilliant rime formations on the rocks on the summit of Cruach Ardrain in Stirlingshire, Scotland and incredible "god rays" striking the hills to the south made it hard to put the camera away despite the strong, cold winds. It's days like this in the Scottish hills that make up for all the other, less enjoyable ones when Scotland's weather doesn't play ball.
