Although I was done with my classes for the day, I definitely wasn't done learning for the day. This was the case for many of my days abroad in London. I was wandering around Shoreditch (East London) with one of my friends, which is an emerging area for young artists and also a developing area of London. I wandered into the Victoria Miro gallery, which is near Shoreditch, and learned of Yayoi Kusama's art. Kusama's exhibition here was three mirrored rooms which gave the illusion that each art display was infinite. Her biggest artistic obsessions are polka-dot patterns and squash plants -- both of which the "Infinity Pumpkins" incorporates. This was the largest display at the Victoria Miro gallery, and the pumpkins made visiting the gallery one of my favorite abroad experience. Even though this was my first time learning about Kusama's artwork, I now actively seek out her artwork and enjoy it greatly.

Uploaded because I used this photo in the Mosaic, and to be "legal" it is supposed to be in my photostream.
This is the same infinity sculpture as found elsewhere in my photostream, but this is the one which looked best in the mosaic, so I used it. Then I realized it wasn't in my photostream. Yikes! So now, it is.
We swam in this infinity pool at the Intercontinental Hotel in Bora Bora. The water was the perfect temperature so I did not want to get out!

This was the first on location drawing and painting I've ever done from start to finish. It was a very quiet, sunny, windy day down by the river. The wind made it the trickiest because it was almost blowing my sketchbook off my lap, resulting in a few wavy lines.

we carved the infinity into a tree on the little island but it was too hard to do it horizontal so we really just made an eight...hahaha

"Focus to Infinity" was a photography contest on facebook that CEU alumni and students participated in between October 8 and November 8, 2010.
The contestants of “Focus to Infinity” went on a hunt for the infinite forms and manifestations of the Infinity sign-- ∞ -- anywhere and all over the world: from the roof tiles to the clouds, in jewellery shops and pairs of sunglasses.
