This photograph was taken at the Cycle of Songs rehearsal for the piece entitled 'Infinity', composed by Peter Gregson, at Emmanuel College on 12th June 2014. This was sung by a composite choir of singers mainly from Women of Note and ReSound.

Infinity Bridge, Stockton-on-Tees.
Rushed out after finishing work to walk the dogs and saw a great rainbow over the Infinity Bridge. It stayed visible until I got home and grabbed a camera. Rushed out without a tripod and got to the bridge just as the rainbow faded. The sunset of course turned out to be fantastic just when I needed a tripod! Images a bit noisy due to high ISO.

Theory of relativity and E = mc2

Einstein's "Zur Elektrodynamik bewegter Körper" ("On the Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies") was received on 30 June 1905 and published 26 September of that same year. It reconciles Maxwell's equations for electricity and magnetism with the laws of mechanics, by introducing major changes to mechanics close to the speed of light. This later became known as Einstein's special theory of relativity.
Consequences of this include the time-space frame of a moving body slowing down and contracting (in the direction of motion) relative to the frame of the observer. This paper also argued that the idea of a luminiferous aether – one of the leading theoretical entities in physics at the time – was superfluous.[62]
In his paper on mass–energy equivalence Einstein produced E = mc2 from his special relativity equations.[63] Einstein's 1905 work on relativity remained controversial for many years, but was accepted by leading physicists, starting with Max Planck.[64][65]

nfinity Fidget Bracelet by Emily L. J. Boyd (Stirling Silver and 9ct Gold)
I made something else over Christmas, for my dad to give gran. The fidget bracelets were actually kind of inspired by gran, and her ability to wear more bracelets than anyone I know and indeed her inability to sit still, so the bracelets I call fidget all have kinetic elements which run around the band.
I've been wanting to do one as an infinity bracelet for a while so this was my excuse.

Getting infinity sorted with some masking tape and the E-P1. . . I'm really assuming that the E-P1 lens is at infinity - but I also used my Pentacon 6 with a 150mm lens to check as well so its should be good.
You can see the tapes stretched and buckled a bit . . so I may well be really far off . . I did re-do it several times however, so it should be good.
Also probably a good way of attempting micro photography . . . or reading microdots. . .

For my money you get a pretentious name when you add together the words celebrity and infinity, but it probably helps the marketing department a great deal.
We sailed with the Holland America Line – on Ms Zuiderdam – because we wanted a relatively smaller and quieter ship. I’d rather sit and chat with my fellow passengers over a cup of tea than launch myself around a discotheque. . .
